Stunning views, well maintained, and very peaceful. I come here to connect with nature and the atmosphere is simply perfect. Never spent much time on the hiking/walking trails though. I just hang out by the creek.
Great place to go sledding for free. Playground: Swings. Out door pavilions Picnic area: Tables. Pavilions. Trails. Open ground
Слава саламандрі! Glory to the salamander! I came to this park with the purpose of finding salamanders, and it certainly was not disappointing. The salamanders were not the most diverse in terms of species, but they were indeed very numerous. The northern two-lined and eastern red-backed were the two species sighted today. I would certainly visit again if on a nice day, but it’s a rather small park, so perhaps not for a little while. Seems popular with sledders in the winter. Would highly recommend a visit, cheers.
Great hill for sledding when there's snow in the winter. I usually don't go in the summer though. The park has several hills, one big one divided in two for steerable sleds and others. Other hills are smaller but still fun. Park has a pavilion with picnic tables and a port o potty. Sometimes when sledding conditions are good they turn the lights on at night. There's also an upper part off of Shamrock that has a pavilion and play equipment.
It's quiet. Not super busy. Close to work so I enjoy spending my lunch break here.
It's nicely tucked in between the highways and screened by trees. It's got a huge hill for sledding. The creek is pretty but the park could use more walking trails. I exhausted them in twenty minutes and then had to walk along the bike path.
If there is snow, get your sled... from lunch trays to tubes to runners to toboggans to custom frankensleds. That hill is amazing. Look out for knuckleheads who can't control their sled.
Great local park. No equipment for children to play on but a good sled riding location. Good place to park to access the walking/riding trail
Pleasant park...no thrills, can find some birds along the water. Has single pavillion along with benches throughout.
Searched for bike parks in State college and this came up and guess what there's no bike park here. A little tiny quaint part is what it is
