An all-horror VHS art installation & gallery. Step back in time and visit a mom and pop video store from the '80s!
Slashback Video is a celebration of horror's VHS days, a time when mom and pop video stores ruled. It's one part pop-up VHS museum, one part art installation and one part art gallery. A giant time capsule that recreates the mom and pop video store experience.
Slashback opened within the Bearded Lady's Mystic Museum in Burbank, California on September 9, 2017. The opening event welcomed nearly 2,000 visitors who soaked up the atmosphere, gazed upon the stunning art that screamed from the covers of hundreds of VHS boxes and checked out a gallery featuring works from an array of contemporary artists inspired by the VHS era.
It's successful run continued until November 19th. Slashback Video will return and is currently seeking sponsors for its 2018 incarnation. If interested, please contact us!
