NEVER AGAIN. We spent $3200 on a new mattress that we have yet to see. The day we bought it, the saleswoman was nice, but was definitely just trying to sell us a bed. Since we were desperate for something better than our current bed, we decided to cough up the money that day to get a new and better bed. We were told that the bed was not in the store and would have to be delivered. It would take no more than 2 weeks. It's been about 2 1/2 weeks so far. Frustrated, we called Sleep City today and they told us that our bed is on back order and we won't get it for at least 2 more weeks. Well, in two more weeks, I shall update you all on our status. Hopefully the bed that gets delivered to us is as nice as the one in the store. I am not wanting to be any more disappointed than I already am. UPDATE. I appreciate getting feedback, so until I get my product, I'm only bumping this up one more star. I'm still disappointed with how slow it is to get this bed. I understand products go on back order, but it seems that after reading all of the reviews, this is a common occurrence. If it's so common, maybe it should be voiced initially so people can really think about it before they spend so much money. Call me impatient, but we truly needed a new bed ASAP and this waiting game literally hurts .
I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased the mattress. It is a continuing problem regardless of the day and time. It's 2019 and they still putting people off past the time frame to receive their purchases. Was told when I ordered I would have my products within two weeks. I called to follow up. Nobody could find my order at the time and had to be called back. Once I was finally contacted it was still another supposed to weeks out. Will repost another one-star review in 2 weeks time if I do not have my products. We told the sales rep we were buying the mattress to increase our quality of life like everybody else who purchases a new mattress. I would really hope their customer service changes however it doesn't seem to affect how they do business.
Worst customer service! Liars!! We bought a king bed on April 23rd and was told it would be here in 2 weeks. 2 weeks came and no phone call so I called and they said it didn't come in. I asked them to check on our order and see what's going on. Our sales Rep said she could see that it had been ordered but that was it. I asked her to check on it and get back to us the next day. We had gotten rid of our bed because the two weeks were up. Sleeping on the floor sucks! The next day the manager called my husband and said it would be here on May 23rd, two more weeks! I called the manager back and told him this was ridiculous and I wanted to cancel our order. He then said, "oh I made a mistake the bed will be here next Monday". Just seems like an excuse to not have us cancel. He said if you cancel I will charge you a 20% restocking fee. He was very short with me. So i discussed it with my husband and by Saturday we decided to cancel because of their rude service and failure to deliver on time. The manager said it would be here and be patient. I said no we want to cancel! He started arguing with me and said if you keep the bed i will take $500 off. I said no so he said, " WOW REALLY, I give you $500 off and you don't want it! Fine then i will have to charge you a 20% restocking fee!" Ok so he could afford to take $500 off, which we didn't do mind you, but still charged us $497 restocking fee. I have never had a manager speak to me in that tone especially if they are trying to save a sale. The management their is completely unprofessional and no wonder their reviews are terrible! I am trying to fight the restocking fee as we speak and i have contacted their corporate office as well. Hopefully someone will do the right thing and give us the 20% back! By looking at the reviews this is a normal practice for them and they have an excuse for the reviews too saying it was old management and things have changed. Obviously not since the complaints are still the same and still coming in. I am a business owner in town and have already begun to tell people about our terrible experience. I have also spoken with multiple furniture stores and they were appalled to hear how the management handled our situation. They said that they have restocking fees also but only enforce them on special orders and California king bed orders. They said there is no need to charge a fee for a cancelation because the inventory hasn't been touched and can be sold without having to discount it since it is still in the packaging. They said Sleep City must be hurting for money if they are so desperate to charge the restocking fee. Maybe they should take the bed we canceled and give to a customer that has been waiting for their mattress forever! We have since decided to buy with Conlins and it was the best buying experience ever! Excellent customer service and they provided us with a new king size loaner bed that day! With the new mattress, mattress protector, and two pillows the price was still $50 less than sleep city and the mattress we purchased was better than the first one. I will never shop here again and strongly recommend to go else where! I will continue to spread the word until my 20% is refunded. I have a lot of high end clients and I have no problem spreading the word. Amazing how a lot of my clients already know not to shop at Sleep City.
I bought a bed from the previous manager at sleep city and had issues with the bed! I tried to get it replaced and got nothing but excuses. Since Robert has taken over the management, the customer service has been impeccable. He has taken care of me since day one. He is a very honest and up front person to deal with. Thanks for all the help Robert.
Please do yourself a favor and spend your money anywhere but here! They are as nice as can be when you are purchasing but as soon as your have a problem with your purchase they treat you horrible. The people that come to your home to check and see if your bed is going to be warrantied are rude and treat you like you are nothing more then a Hassle to them and the person that I called to touch base with to see when they were coming to my home was snotty over the phone. I wish I would have taken my 5 grand elsewhere for this "luxury bed." Horrible customer service.
We ordered a mattress from Sleep City and were told if in stock we should have it within a week and if not 2 weeks at the latest. We waited over 2 months getting the runaround it is on its way etc but no one ever knew exactly where it was it. I even called to followup was told arrangements with my husband were made as if the details of the plan could not be revealed to me. We eventually demanded our money back and they did give us a full refund. Do NOT buy a mattress from them, if you look at the reviews of the Missoula store they also have horrible reviews. We went to Dream Sleep and had an effortless transaction, our mattress was delivered in less then a week. It is a scam that Sleep City can post an A+ Better Business review, as I was told that there were a number of people having the same problem and it is likely related to the financial status of this company.
Great service and attention on the floor for the sale. we purchased a bed and circumstances changed before the bed was delivered. Be aware that they only refund 80% on orders. That 20% is pretty hefty penalty so buyer beware if your situation is prone to change.
Poor poor poor service.I order a bed from them they told me it would be here in 2 weeks. 2 weeks came by no bed. They said another 2 weeks and guess what still no bed. Then they said it would be here by March 30 the swear up and down. Guess what still no bed. Asked how long this time and he didn't know. I told them I would like my money back they did give it to me and I went to E-Z rest instead and got just as of nice of bed and cheaper and it only took 10 days. These people suck. I also know someone who worked there and they said that's how they are people have waited over 6 MO for there stuff. Crazy and poor service.
Stephanie was very helpful! She was very friendly and in no time helped me find a bed in my price range and exactly what I was looking for. She wasn't pushy and very sweet! I will definitely be going back to make my house a home!
On 11/24/15 I went to their store and pick out a bed a split king with adjustable base. I was told it would be delivered on 12/4/15. No show no call. Bummer because I sold my old bed. Called sleep City in Missoula to find out what the problem was. No answer no call back after I left a message. Drove back to Kalispell store, 60 mile round trip, I was told they did not get a truck in. Was told it would be 1 or 2 more weeks. 2 weeks later no bed and of coarse no call. Drove back to the store, the manager said he had no clue when it would be there. Cancelled order of $3400.00. Got on line to Amazon got same bed out of the midwest to my door in 5 days and $900. cheaper. Good luck at Sleep City.
