We regularly stay at 5 star hotels and I researched a lot before staying at the SLS. We as a family really liked our room. Spacious, clean and updated. We stayed in the one bedroom suite. The food was great and the service all around was terrific. Everyone from the front desk to servers and valet had that “can do” attitude. The pool was a little cold but still fun. The sea bass tasted awesome. To anyone who is looking for a great and relaxing luxury hotel, I would personally recommend this hotel!
I stayed here for two nights with my family and our stay here was beyond my expectations - in the best way possible. The rooms are clean, cool decor and very aesthetically pleasing. The hotel itself is in a great location & more importantly - The staff here is so wonderful. Everyone was soo kind, professional, and accommodating. We stayed here for my birthday and the staff here went above and beyond to ensure I felt special and appreciated. Only one thing I would say is it is not the most "family friend" aka young children - it does have a really sexy feel and vibe to it. Overall, 10/10 experience and if I ever come back to LA this is 100% where I'll be staying
Having stayed at exceptional and truly five star hotels all over the world, this hotel is in a class by itself - and that would be a bottom class. The front desk management, specifically Jennifer Jones, is the least hospitable hotel manager I have ever encountered. She is rude, lacks any desire to provide service to her hotel guests and truly lacks the requisite skills to be in the hospitality business. Do not book a room at this hotel expecting five star service. You will be severely disappointed.
Checking out tomorrow. The service here is exceptional!!! The rooms are nice and very clean, and overall the hotel has a decent vibe. We especially enjoyed the rooftop area where we had a few drinks and just hung out the first night. We were excited to come back the next day to enjoy the pool. To our surprise, the next day, the pool was full of 30 something’s. Apparently this location is a hangout spot. The place was PACKED!! Looks like you can pay to hang out for the day and this is the hotspot. There was no room for us to get in the pool. I am not sure of this is just a Sunday thing, but it was disappointing. Needless to say, we did not get a chance to enjoy the pool area the second day.
Wow on a recent business trip i had the opportunity to stay at the SLS. what a great hotel. The staff is overly accommodating and quickly able to help me for my meeting. I will definitely stay here again and bring my wife next time! oh and check out the speak easy... Rooms: the rooms are way bigger than any other hotel... Nearby activities: walkable to restaurant Food & drinks: great selection and cool suggestions.
If you're hosting a corporate event or a global company offsite, look no further. Mario Ghrayeb, the SLS Sales Manager, is outstanding to work with, goes above and beyond and can accommodate all of your needs proactively from hotel rooms, meeting space, dinners, event planning etc and work with you on a budget. Absolutely outstanding!Rooms: 5/5
Great location nestled between Bev Hills and Melrose/LA area, with easy access to many great destinations. But what makes this hotel among top choice for travelers in area is its superb service quality from valet, bell, front counter, to even every personnel in housekeeping staff. It’s definitely the expectations set by its leadership to ensure that every member of the hotel that touches customer has highest standard of service in mind. My family enjoyed the visit and it’s for their service that we will be sure to return for another stay in the future. Also, the breakfast is worth having each morning!
I was gonna stay here for my birthday until my friend and I pulled up and there was a strike outside with about 20 people. We went to the front desk to try and check in at 4pm and they said the room wasn’t ready. Needless to say I was fed up and we decided to stay at the Waldorf Astoria which was amazing. So happy we didn’t stay here. Don’t waste your money or time with SLS.
Me and my girlfriends came for a pool party on a rooftop on Sunday, July 23rd. The rooftop is absolutely fantastic, breathtaking views, nice pool area, lots of daybeds, tables and chairs. They had an EDM throwback party, DJs killed it and created a really fun atmosphere. Very clean, the staff was on it the entire time, our trash and empty dishes were cleared out immediately. Sunscreen and water are available for everybody by the bar. The reason for my low rating is our server, Julia. She was nice and smiled a lot but seemed bothered by simple requests like splitting a check 2 ways. We were surprised with the bill. 20% gratuity is automatically added to all orders, which is fine. But we also got overcharged for our drinks and when I asked Julia about it, she didn’t apologize or anything, said she’d fix it and seemed annoyed yet again. We were not a high check table which probably caused the attitude on her side. And I was fine with paying $20 for an americano and iced tea, but my card was charged for $30. When I realized that, I called and spent 20 minutes on the phone with a representative from the SLS hotel but never got a refund.
We had a wonderful stay at SLS last week. There was customer service excellence from the amazing staff. Beds and chairs were comfortable. I love the decor and roof pool with magical views of all parts of the city. It’s a great location for daily adventures in the city. It seemed about 20 minutes to everywhere we wanted to go. The first morning after we arrived we were waiting for a table at the restaurant nook. The host Zeki was super kind and brought some pastries and complimentary coffee! That was just awesome and totally unexpected. We wanted to get some recommendations on hiking and food places to visit in Malibu. He recommended Point Dune and Malibu Seafood, both of which were incredible. 10/10 for SLS - we will stay again next time we are in LA.
