Our group of four adults and two kids had a great table on the outdoor patio at Small Bar last night. We had two great servers take care of us through the visit. The bar has a great beer selection, both draft and bottled, and a small but wonderful menu of bar foods. The chicken sandwich got rave reviews, as did the grilled cheese with bacon. My burger was excellent and the Southwest salad looked really tasty. The kids shared a regular grilled cheese and fries. I’m a huge tater tot fan, so I was pleased to see them as one of the options for a side dish. I wish I lived closer, as I’d become a regular here.
Shoutout to Small Bar for their brunch offerings. It’s a nice neighborhood spot to go for a no frills brunch with plenty of drink options and large food portions. Their patio is nice because it’s very shaded but you still get to be outside. Overall, I most appreciate that it is tucked away in the neighborhood and they have lots of drink options!
Best chicken tenders in the city....no...ever!!!! Cajun is our favorite flavor ATM. We also had an amazing burger in the past. I love this local bar! Makes me wanna find a closer apartment
This place was awesome!!!! Sweet vibe, delicious food, great beer selection. I like dark beers and they had a ton. Prices were pretty average northside bar prices, not the cheapest but not particularly expensive. Awesome sweet potato fries. Parking can take a bit of hunting but its free
Very nice bar. Excellent service. We ate outside with my granddaughters and our waiter was very patient with us.Food: 4/5
Small bar is a decent little place in quite a random spot. From the outside it looks a little uninviting but once in the drinks and food are decent. I’ve been a few times, the most recent time they were playing pretty awful music and it was a little uncomfortably loud so it didn’t make you feel like you wanted to order another.
Star Wars and The Simpsons on Dual Screens! Great Atmosphere and Music!
Great neighborhood bar that hopefully never goes away. And the curds here were perfect
I can’t get over their elote Mac and cheese. The queso cotija and the flaming hot Cheetos really worked together to make this would-be Mexican-Italian-American monstrosity into a work of art. The burger patty was cooked into perfection medium rare, recommend to add bbq sauce on the side. They really know their beers too - I left to use the facilities and they had run out of what I ordered. But they brought out a substitute that was a better match to my tastes slight banana than what I had ordered!
Cool neighborhood joint. Low key with chill music, always something weird playing on the TV's that adds to the ambiance of drinking in your parents basement. 10/10 low-key chill non hipster bar
