Smart Cremation performed every aspect exactly as described. I could not be more pleased. They called in under an hour to arrange for pick-up. They were so kind and reverential. All the arrangements we paid for 10 years ago were carried out perfectly and very kindly. There were no hidden charges. All was perfect.
With so much going on with family and other loved ones, arranging what to do with dispersing personal items and possessions, it was a total relief to have Justine of Smart Cremation assure me of her attention to detail taking care of notifications and end of life necessities. I appreciate her kindness as well as keeping me informed of the process. Thank you Smart Cremation!
My parent's contracts were paid in full when my dad fell ill. We needed information from his contract to apply for medicaid benefits. I could never get a hold of anyone that could help, only an answering service and no one got back to me for weeks. I believe that was when they were tired of me calling/emailing. Fast forward to after my father passed. They were unable to cremate him for 3 weeks, 4 weeks if we wanted a viewing and witnessing of the cremation. We ended up going with a local company, so my mother could have my father home in a reasonable amount of time. We submitted all required information and documents for the 100% refund on January 4th. Amber Payne was who I was dealing with She never responded to my email or phone call to confirm. I spoke with her again mid-January and she said that she did receive all information and that she was "expediting" my refund. A week later they claimed the check for a different amount than quoted was sent. It is now February 13th and she just informed my mother that they didn't get all of the information they needed until February 2nd and it is under review. None of them know what they are doing. They lie and at this point I believe they may have stolen from my parents. It is hard losing a parent It is even harder when they put systems in place with companies like this that do not care about the family or the dead. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor by not choosing this company. We are canceling my mother's prepaid plan for a refund and choosing a local service provider that we can trust.
My experience with Smart Cremation was positive. When my husband passed I didn't have to worry about any arrangements. I had a counselor from the company helping me along the way for the whole process answering questions and giving support. She even ordered the death certificates for me. I was so pleased I purchased a plan for myself.
I would like to thank Renee Torres for being so kind, thoughtful, and helpful with the final preparations for my husband. Roy and I signed up with Smart Cremation quite a few years ago. I did not research the company like most people would have done. We called and a representative came to our home. I do not remember her name, but she was also very kind and helpful with providing us information regarding the plans available. All I can say is Smart Cremation is more than outstanding! If I could give it ten stars, I would. From the couple that picked up my husband to all the legal paperwork, the staff are remarkable. The staff are there for you when you are most vulnerable. God bless them all!
My Mom paid for her cremation and urn through this service in 2016. She passed away a month ago and this company went above and beyond, in my opinion. Hospice called them when she passed and they picked her up and made all the arrangements. They helped me with the death certificate, notified social security, and provided permits for spreading her ashes if we choose to. They delivered her ashes to us in person and put them in the urn for us. Their employees were kind and comforting and they made a sad and stressful time much easier for us. Thank you so much!

I attended a free lunch promotion for this company in AZ. It sounded great and I made a down payment. I didn't have the capital to pay for the whole thing. This was 3 years ago and I have been making my monthly payments. Iam able to pay it off and have called the company a few times to to so. The person answering the call is unable to provide this service and transfers me to an agent with this ability. I am then placed on hold for too long. Customer service is weak, very weak. I can't imagine what is like for a person losing their loved one. I am regretting my decision.
This company covers more than just this area. They can make sure you or your loved one is taken care of in all the West Coast states and many of the other western states. This company also does more than just make sure you or your loved one is cremated. They will ensure your religious practices are respected. They give you prompt, compassionate customer service over the phone. My husband's ashes were delivered to my home afterward and respectfully placed in the box we had purchased. All part of the service. They even made sure the death certificate was signed by the doctor at the hospital where he passed away, and promptly filed with the Bureau of Vital Statistics. I highly recommend these people.
They were very responsive and sincere with my father. I had a few issues, mostly communication on my part. When I emailed or called they were very quick to fix the issue or give me the person to call
