Founded in 1927 by Howard D. Smith, and operated under the name H.D. Smith Funeral Home. Following Howard's death, Fred H. Moore operated the funeral home as the Smith Moore Funeral Home. On March 1, 2008, Ebright Funeral Home, Inc purchased Smith Moore Funeral Home from the Estate of Fred H. Moore. After receiving the new Funeral Home License on July 1, 2008 the name was changed according to Ohio laws to Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home. Bainbridge resident, Donald M. "Matt" Conley, was named Manager of the funeral home. Matt is a licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director.
