BEWARE!!! Do not move in here. The “manager” Christy offered to buy my mobile home for 17,000. When I declined the offer- I got a letter stating that I need to move my mobile home within 30 days or my property become theirs. I asked to speak to the owner and the manager said she IS the owner. She stated that we need to move out because we were making their park look bad as it is the front of the park. I ended up selling it to her for 10,000 because it is dangerous to move after hurricane damages. It has been over a year and it looks even trashier now than before. It is mobile home #41. Another tenant down the street said she is known for evicting tenants to take their property.
Place is not the the same as it was before when thr original owners owned this mobile home park. Junk vehicles parked in front of mobile homes, lots of junk outside some of the mobile homes, some of the properties fill up with water when it rains and the management does not fix the problem. A sewer pipe is broken and management has been notified but nothing has been done. Avoid this place and pick a better mobile home park to live in. Concerned family memeber of a current tenant which soon will be leaving this park.
Lot 20 $800 a month for a dump. When it rains water drips down the walls. Black mold. Spiders are out of control. Porch falling apart. The nails are popping up. Not a safe place for a 1 year old.
Trash everywhere. No WiFi. Not much being done here to clean up after the storms.
Update, there has been an incredible amount of work done in the last several months here. I'm updating this because all the things I listed has been hanged and problems solved. I believe with the constant updating and having tenants do their part has made an overall difference. Thank you Smith Trailer Park for rising above what was expected from you. God Bless and keep making these upgrades happen. Ty I think there is no up keep. Dogs and cats using your yard. Definitely over priced. Now there is RV spaces Trucks and motorcycles start up early I'm morning and they are loud. When a problem is called in the residents are talk to like they are the problem. No respect given. No problems seen to. After a rain it smells like sewer.
Too many restrictions that make no sense. Rules apply to some and not others. Otherwise a nice place to live, quiet, clean and very good price.
I'm in the construction industry and I find myself on the road a lot. I came to lake Charles for work when I arrived it was like 11 at night and I had my RV with me...by myself I may add well plus my big ol pittbull my road goes everywhere with me..fyi..very hard to find a place that allows big dogs but they do!. Anyways I pulled in to Smith's village and was kinda dreading setting up my camper but low and be hold the maintenance manager was waiting for me in my camper spot AND HELP ME SET IT UP!!! And I have a big camper, he stayed the whole time and helped me hook up everything. I've been in many states working and its hard to find the hospitality that this young man showed me.. I tried to give him a tip for helping me...he wouldn't take it it was to the point I was trying to put it in his pocket. But he declined many times, he just told me that he takes pride in give everyone the experience that he received from the previous owner and next time you fire up the Pit show me how them TX boys do it, been told yall have the best bbq! His wife which is the office manager did not know at the time made all the paperwork a breese and explained everything they had available at the RV park and also some recommendation on the local places that I may enjoy. It was nice too meet such warming people that really care about they park they run.
I have been to many many different campgrounds/rv resorts in my years of working construction all over the country. Smiths Rv Park is by far NUMBER ONE ON MY LIST. It's very clean, well maintained, family oriented, comfortable and a very safe place to live/stay at. The owner of this park is the friendliest, helpful, down to earth man you will ever meet. I hope this job last forever Bc I don't ever want to have to pack up and move away from this park Bc there will never be any comparisons to the hospitality and professionalism and treatment that you will get here. Everyone seems like family here since day one. I would highly recommend this park to anyone that is looking for a safe, comfortable peaceful place to reside. #makingmemoriesatsmithsrvpark #lovethisplace #welovemrgibb
Very, very poor management, nothing compared to the old management I’ve been trying to get ahold of management but haven’t been lucky to do so for sometime. I have been renting a RV lot for almost a year but for the last 2 months I have had water sitting around my lot and been trying to get management to come do something at least about my walkway but no luck. Moving out soon if I can’t get this issue solved soon.
Very nice for a mobile home park.. Friendly people. Quiet.. no issues in the last 6 months or so since I've been here
