I had a hip replacement with Dr Stacia Smith. I had the left hip done two years ago and the right hip done yesterday. I am already home and feeling good. She does an amazing job which changed my life. She did the anterior approach. I highly recommend her!
I was late to the appointment and they worked me in anyway. I never felt rushed and Dr Smith covered the problem and then some. She gave me recommendations for next steps and explained my X-rays thoroughly so that I could understand a lot more about where the pain is coming from. I have a lot of confidence in her assessments and will take the next steps towards what she has suggested doing. Plus she is a very caring individual and had a gray shoe place recommendation!
Dr. Smith is so thoughtful and thorough. I am very satisfied that she will determine exactly what is wrong with my knee and will treat it to solve my mobility issues. She gets right by to the issues and wastes no time. I am so pleased to have such a physician available to me. Followup visit was great. My knee is healing well. Such a relief. Dr. Smith is a gifted surgeon!
Waited over an hour for appointment. It was obvious Dr. Smith was in a hurry when we did see her, but I was satisfied with results. I had questions, but since all of the staff and us were running late will save for next visit. We love Dr. Smith....... Would like a summary print out of today's visit.
Dr Smith is a wonderful person as well as being thorough and competent as A surgeon. She replaced both of my hips and I trust her. I have given her name to numerous friends and they have had similar experiences. Thank you Dr Smith

Doctor Stacia Smith explained everything in great detail and what could or would take place with getting the cortizone shots in each knee. Wait a month and see what takes place then try some kind of gel shots in the knees. Happy that she is still working and she makes sure that you understand what she is explaining to youme.
Dr. Smith is personable and patient, explaining underlying disease processes and options for treatment. I also appreciate that her pre op work up is so thorough. Highly recommend.
BLUF: I waited over an hour past my appointment with no explanation and never actually saw the doctor.; I would give 0 stars if I could. I don't recommend coming to this office. They have no respect for their patients or their time. I came to the anacortes location yesterday for the initial appointment. I had been emailed a link to pre-register a few days before but I could not get past the ID verification due to the office inputting my phone number incorrectly. I called before my appointment to ensure it was ok if I filled out the paperwork at my appointment to which they said yes. I arrived about 10 min before my appointment and when I check in the receptionist very pointedly says "you didnt do your paperwork" "I couldnt because the phone number was wrong, I called ahead about this" "is your phone number *******" "No it isn't, its ****" After being greeted so rudely I filled out the questionnaire in about 10 min and waited. My appointment was at 4:10 PM but I didnt get taken back until about 4:30 for Xrays. The X ray technician was very kind and efficient and I was taken into the examination room to have my vitals taken. The nurse who took me back said they were running a little behind and that the doctor would see me soon. I waited alone in that room for another 30 min with no update on when I would be seen. At this point it is 5:15, over an hour past my appointment and I still haven't seen the doctor. I couldn't wait any longer so i left the room to talk to someone about needing to reschedule. The person I spoke to told me "She just finished with her last patient but I can tell her to see you next" So was I not next already? How long did they expect me to wait? I told her that I could not wait any longer and was rescheduled with a very meek apology after the receptionist had to log back in since she had already clocked out for the day. Biggest waste of time and I have never been to a medical office where they had such little disregard or compassion for a patient. I immediately had my PCP send a referral somewhere else.
Dr Stacia is caring, compassionate, ask questions, is a great listener, very professional. I always feel she is the taking the time necessary to help me with my problem.
