Best value for around $20 in town I’d say. 4 rib plate is often more. They are big, not the tiny ones. They are lean not a bunch of fat layers yet flavorful. Try sweet potatoes fries dipped in honey for a side or a dessert for me. Everything I’ve tried a good. I love the 80’s videos in there. It’s a nice looking place. Not fancy but nice. And food comes quick.
Finally came to give this NWA BBQ a try. As you can see by the rating it was average. Let’s break it down as usual. 1. Customer Service - 3 Stars. Hostesses were a 1 star and our server was a 4 star. Hostesses didn’t acknowledge us when walking in and there were two girls. When we left they did t acknowledge that we left. Server was very nice but she would ask us how we were doing while walking away. Super weird. 2. Food Quality - 3 Stars. A lot of fat in the ribs and brisket. Sweet Potato fries were wedges and under cooked. I’m always leery or dressing brought out to you in a bottle. Sanitary? . Honestly my stomach just felt very strange after eating. Not any type of food poisoning, just very heavy. 3. Cleanliness - 4 Stars. Not much to say here but the bathrooms could have used some attention 4. Ambiance - 3 Stars. People know about this place and I know there are more than one in NWA but just not much life from the staff or the guests. I don’t feel a need to go back. Wrights is definitely better. Now I didn’t try any burgers or sandwiches but the fries and onion rings were very average so don’t feel a need to repeat an average to sub par dining experience.
This place was excellent!!! Food was absolutely amazing, atmosphere was awesome, ambience was great. Service was incredible from the moment we walked in the door. Our server was very informative and treated us great. Can I tell you the ribs were amazing? They were amazing!!! Ordered the three meat platter and absolutely loved it. Ribs were through the roof, chicken was full of flavor and the, sausage was ridiculous. I’ve driven past this place for almost 2 years, so thankful I finally stopped in. Best barbecue I have had in quite a while. I am definitely a rib guy and this place did not disappoint!!! Meat falls completely off the bone, don’t really even need barbecue sauce. But don’t discount the sweet barbecue sauce they do have. It was great as well. Incredible experience, restaurant was very clean, bathrooms were very clean, loved it. Whoever decorated this place deserves an award. Absolutely awesome!!! Will definitely be back.
Fast service, great food and a clean location. Up visiting family and seen this while out driving. Stopped by on our way back and sooooo happy we did. The place is clean, open and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu is basic BBQ fare, reasonable prices. Placed our order and had our food within minutes! The Pulled Pork was warm, soft and juicy. The Brisket was perfect! The Colesaw was just right and the baked beans had the perfect thickness to it. If you are in the area, check them out, you will be glad you did, I know we are!
Great BBQ joint. Usually try to stop in when I'm in town....Back in town, had the Prime Rib this time... absolutely delicious......Food: 5/5
Bogus 5% charge for cards. Highest one I have ever seen. Chopped brisket was dry as a bone. Pulled pork wasn't bad.Food: 3/5
Any place that has #PBR on tap is already a place I will return to. We'll add it to.oir #Pabst map. We always try a 2 or 3 meat combo when visiting for the first time. Today it was a 3 meat Turkey, Brisket, and Pulled Pork. All the meats were lightly smoked. I could barely taste any hardwoods a bit of oak but no hickory.. it might have something to do with being close to KC. Definitely none of that horrible Texas BBQ with that obnoxious mesquite tate. If so I wouldn't come back. The best of the trio is the brisket... tender and cooked to perfection. If you must add a sauce to your meat it is probably not cooked right! No sauce needed!!? The Turkey is above average, and I haven't found anything better in the area, but it still does not come me close to Double D's Smoked turkey. Add a bit of the house sauce and it's good BBQ! The pulled pork...dry... you would have to add a lot of sauce to make it good. I am talking ng it home to the animals. They like dry meat. I don't! The black eyed peas a bit bland.. However a great shot of cholulaand it brings them up to par. Real butter is served and that is greatly appreciated.. Will I be back... most definitely but not for the BBQ, I would like to try the open beef sandwich which is a favorite of mine. Maybe the smoked sirloin as well.. there were a lot of interesting options.
This place started out pretty impressive. The employees greeted us enthusiastically and set us right away. Had to use the restroom and that was the first negative. It smelled very bad. Our waitress was nice but toward the last half of our meal never came back and after we got help from another she just brought us our checks even though we had told her earlier we were looking forward to desert... The food was good overall. I liked my chicken fried steak as was tender and good though a little skimpy on the gravy. The shredded pork and brisket were both good but the burnt ends were not good and very dry. All the meats had sauce on them when they were brought out even though there was a significant selection on the table. Would have preferred to choose which one we used. Coleslaw and potato salad were average. Overall the meal wasn't up to the price charged and to add an inappropriate stab, they added a temporary inflation charge to the bill without any prior warning. Hadn't seen this before and it was a real negative.
Really great baby back ribs, they fell off the bone and were extremely meaty. Service wasn't bad, but we were seated first and noticed our waitress taking the order of a party of 6 at the next table over, even though they were seated way after us. The atmosphere would have been better, and looked nice, but we were put in the area between the bathroom and kitchen entrances, so not much to see or look at, except the screens playing 80s MTV videos which I liked, but music was too loud to be able to comfortably talk with each other. Would highly recommend for the food. Reasonably priced...$53 for 3 people and there was a lot of food for your money.
I stopped for lunch recently and was VERY IMPRESSED with the chicken breast. Big piece of meat covered with sauteed tomatoes and onions and Canadian bacon to make it a phenomenally tasty and healthy dish. Green beans were bland but the fried okra was excellent. Service was good and price was very fair relative to size of breast.Food: 5/5
