My daughter loved feeding the animals. The goats were a bit overwhelming but still entertaining. This was also her first ever pony ride. The staff were pleasant and very informative. My only surprise was that you lead the pony ride yourself. I would have expected the trainers to handle that. Other than that the animals were all health and happy to see us all. The park was quite tidy and clean considering the nature of pens and stalls holding animals. I'll happily go back if I'm ever in town.
Very cool place, seems like you're driving into the middle of nowhere, but keep driving you will get there. Staff was all very happy, friendly and informative. Animals seemed happy and well cared for. Their living areas were all very clean too. You can walk through in about an hour and feed just about every animal there and they will eat from your hand. You can also go inside the goat area to pet them and you can pick up the baby goats if you wish to do so. You can go into a deer station and pet them too. This place has rabbits, turkeys, emus, Llamas, donkeys, exotic bovines, deer, goats, camels, birds, zebras and other animals. It cost about $40 for 2 adult admissions with a large souvenir feed cup and 2 sliced up apples to feed the animals. It's about 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge but worth the drive. This looks like a great place to take kids.
The highlight of our trip! We are visiting town from Orlando and I’m so glad we visited Smokey Mountain Deer Farm, my son yelled “that was better than Disney” right when we got in the car. The animals were so great with the kids, you could get so close, closer than any zoo I’ve been to. 10/10 would recommend!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$11–15
I don't see how this place has so many positive reviews. This place is sketch from the moment you drive in. My 5yr old was too scared to walk through. It's more like someone is housing these animals in their back yard than an exotic zoo. The animals all look stressed and like they're not taken well care of. They were all in filthy stalls, some animals were in spaces too small for them so they couldn't even move around. I didn't see any food/water out for any of the animals. It was very sad and they're charging really over prices rates you'd think they'd invest.
Kids loved feeding the zebras, camels, swarms of deer and goats. Pony rides were great too; just a little short. Three loops max. Four would feel more satisfactory. Still fun. Friendly staff.
Kids loved it so much. The fact that they could hold a baby goat was fabulous to them. The animals look healthy and well cared for. We got to feed zebras and even a ZONKEY! First time I have ever even seen a ZONKEY. They also had African ostriches which was really cool. Definitely a place I would go to again. Kids wanted to go back every day for the rest of our vacation. Definitely worth doing.
We all had a blast and made some new animal friends! You can feed most of the animals and you can go into the goat and deer pens. The big rabbits were all sleeping, but everything else was active. Plan to spend about an hour there and don't wear anything that you're afraid to get dirty. Also, the deer like to nibble things other than the feed that you bring in like your back or your butt to get your attention... so be prepared lol! They also have horseback riding, but I think you have to call ahead for that.
Super cool place to take your kids while in Smoky Mountains, the animal variety was amazing and the interaction was superb. I was a little saddened I didn't get to ride the horses, when I got there I didn't know you have to be below 250lbs ... other than that loved the place and staff was very nice and friendly.Visited onWeekdayWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$16–20
My goodness!!! What an amazing attraction with maybe the best value and customer service you'll find in Sevier county. It is completely obvious they care for these animals with all the love due them. So much more fun with better opportunities for interacting with animals vs a larger zoo. When it rained, they came around and handed out umbrellas for complimentary use and then when we came in they offered us a raincheck to come back the next day even after we had spent over an hr there. This is one of the most overlooked and underrated attractions in the area.
This is one of the cleanest petting zoos I have been to, all of the animals were extremely friendly and easy to feed. My whole family had a blast feeding them. Just be sure to wear clothes and shoes you’re ok with getting dirty if you plan to go into the pens with the animals .Most of the staff were friendly too, only the man checking us into the park was very monotone and not very welcoming so I wasn’t sure what to expect from that point but perhaps he just had a bad day either way, we had a blast and plan to revisit the next time we’re in the area. recommend this place.
