If you knit or crochet, you need to visit this beautiful store! It is amazing. We made a point to stop during our vacation from Texas.
Great place for spinners and weavers it's in the name . Good yarn selection. Great conversation. I was intrigued enough to check out rug making and pin weaving
Amazing! If you are a fiber artist you won't be disappointed!! SO happy I made the trip to visit this establishment! I stepped away from creating 20 years ago but recently felt the tug to dabble again. I was in the market for a tapestry loom but couldn't decide which model. I decided to come here and see them in person. I felt like a kid in a candy shop! You'll find equipment and supplies for spinning, weaving, dying, knitting, crochet, rug hooking, etc. If you have a budding interest, there are many solid starter kits. If you are experienced there is a plethora of supplies and tools to 'upgrade' to. And I mean quality! This is not like the big chain craft stores where the tools often feel disposable. More like heirlooms to be treasured. There are even locally made items to rival any of the brand names. The salespeople were attentive and informative. I felt like I was visiting old friends and chatting about our projects. I am inspired and look forward to my next opportunity to visit. I went for a tiny lap loom but I was so inspired by all the projects I left with a larger tapestry loom. I have it put together and I'm already working on my first project. Best purchase I've made in a long time! You gotta visit this place.
What an awesome store! I found some really nice yarn there. They had a wide selection of notions, spinning wheels, knitting/crochet supplies. I will be back!
Really awesome store, full of all the sorts of things that we don't need, but we want!! Yarnies know what I'm talking about! Very helpful salespeople. I would say though that you should make sure you know what you're getting. I got some tablet weaving cards without looking at the prices, and they were three times as expensive as anywhere else I've seen them. Still, I'd recommend this shop, just be aware.
Great little shop with fab yarns and fibre! The employees were super nice, and lots to look at and touch! Great stop if in the area!
Such a lovely shop in Gatlinburg. The owner was very helpful with showing me the hand dyed yarn and the special colorway for the Great Smoky Mountains. Great souvenir yarn! The shop has a huge selection of yarn. Also spinning wheels, looms and fiber. Loved it! I love stopping by the local yarn stores while on vacation!
I cannot say enough positive things about this diamond of fiber and craft store in the Smokies. If you have any interest or sincere appreciation for quality yarn, spinning, dyeing, weaving, rug hooking, wool felting, & cool pottery too!!... I am sure there is more... THIS IS A MUST STOP FOR YOU!! The staff and owner there are extremely pleasant and very helpful! I can't wait to start my Alpaca rug hooking project!! Thank you so much!
Huge selection of yarns, weaving and spinning supplies...beautiful colors! The ladies were friendly, kind and helpful...and the sour dough bread was scrumptious!
I'm in love with this place after one visit. They had so many fibers I've been wanting to learn about, including more than 20 sheep breeds in roving, top, and even a few fleeces. I got some Targhee, Polwarth, Gotland, and Manx Loaghtan, 4oz each, and a 100g coil of Plötulopi pencil roving from Iceland! There was so much else, though: drop spindles and spinning wheels, all different sizes of looms, rug hooking and needle felting stuff, huge cones of yarn for weaving, camel fiber, alpaca, cashmere, silks of all sorts, including silk hankies for spinning, silk cocoons, mulberry silks, and tussah silks. There is also a pretty extensive collection of fine yarns to choose from Frabjous, Tahki, Berroco, etc, and a surprisingly extensive selection of knitting needles especially Hiya Hiya, and Knitter's Pride and notions. I got a skein of Knitted Wit sock in the Great Smoky Mountains colorway, because that's where the store is : the staff was super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I wish I lived here just to visit the store more often.
