Description

The SMU Mustang Mavericks is Southern Methodist University’s first and only country-western dance team. Started in 2008 by Philip Hughes, Aaron Rose, Haley Gatewood, and Ali Gatewood, the Mavericks have grown to be a well-loved part of the SMU community. Comprised of 10 couples, the team performs at various events on and off campus including talent shows, pep rallies, and charity events. The team is currently led by Lawrence Wong and Reagan Long.

If you are interested in joining the team, tryouts occur at the beginning of every semester. Practices are open if you wish to come observe. See the Auditions Page for more information.
