Smyrna, TN Police Department

My vehicle was hit by another. Called Smyma PD and they were there within about 5 minutes. They quickly blocked a lane to protect us from the speeding traffic. They were courteous and professional throughout the entire experience, got everyone’s details and explained what we needed to do to obtain the report. Called to check on the report a couple of days later and both people with whom I spoke were polite and friendly and really helpful.

I don’t have a personal experience with the police department, but I would like to give an encouraging note. I want to thank each and every officer during this difficult and hectic time. Thank you for keeping us safe and thank you for your courage. My husband and I moved to Smyrna back in December and we are very pleased by the community. Thank you for your dedication. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Stay healthy.

My husband and I broke down in our semi for the majority of the day yesterday. The officers stayed with us until we resolved our issue. They kept us safe from the passing traffic and was very professional and polite. Thank you for your work. We appreciate you!

I called the non emergency number to get a hold of an officer and the lady the picked up was very rude and was shouting over the phone, very bad customer service And she said she’s been working there for 28 years!! They need to hire new professional employees

Always the best of us serving the rest of us. Our boys and girls in blue are heralds of what should be: a responsible, articulate look at society. I have never had an issue with the police in my adult life, and make an effort to thank any I come across. Smyrna has, by far, the most conscientious and dedicated law enforcement officers in the county, if not the state. SMYRNA SUPPORTS OUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT!

My arresting officer was pretty cool, he allowed me to smoke a cigarette before he put me in his car. The back of his patrol vehicle was very clean and smelled like pine trees. I was in and out in a hour. I do not recommend doing anything to get arrested but if I had to be arrested again I hope it's the same friendly and courteous officer that arrested me today.

Officer Murphy responded to a car fire at Cook Out. Very unprofessional, poor attitude, and down right rude. My kids and I were trying to exit from the drive thru when we were yelled at by the officer to turn around. I told him I can’t turn around, there’s not enough room. Instead of assisting or blocking off the area to prevent traffic from continuing in the same direction, he responded with sarcasim. “Do you not know how to back up?” was his remarks. I’ve always appreciated the Smyrna Police Department and respected them more than other local authorities but the way the officer acted in front of children was pathetic. 5/9/18 3:00PM

There are some officers there that I really like and have even came to my home to assist me with knowing my arm when they see me out there struggling .The ladies in the office are very helpful in answering Any questions you may have. My only complaint is some of the officers will pull somebody over at early morning hours and leave their lights and sirens on and they have woke my children up and I've had to literally go outside and request them to please turn off their sirens so I can get some rest and get up for work the next morning .There is court at this location on Saturdays and on that day that location is very loud and busy

My car stalled on me on S Cobb Dr. I called Smyrna Police to advise and let them know that I was on my way to buy a battery at O'Reilly. 20 minutes later my car is impounded costing $155 plus taxi fare. No thanks for your support nor cooperation!

The woman that answers the phone late nights is super friendly and Professional. The police came out real fast do to people being loud and disturbing the complex late night. Thank you!!
