It would be nice if Smyrna had some tennis courts. I see basketball courts all over the place and I know better than to go anywhere near those. Why is there only one public court in all of smyrna that is unkept with no wall to hit against? Ok, there is a wall, but it's a tiny one, way out of date, and it's concrete cinder blocks. It gives a terrible bounce back to the hitter. Impossible to get in rhythm. And its on the outside of the courts for some strange reason. It should be on the inside of the courts so i dont have to walk a quarter mile to retrieve balls that go over this low wall. Thats another thing, there are only two gates for the courts, so you have to walk way around the fence to get in to get those balls back. Hasn't anyone here seen what a real tennis wall looks like? Picture below of a real tennis wall, not some rinky dink concrete wall that gives bad bounces and interest speed to balls coming back at you. It's incredibly lonely here.
If you love your car stay away from Smyrna, the potholes are so bad. I am having to change my rims and tires in my car because of that. Now it's going to cost me AT LEAST 1K to fix and all because they can't do their job and cover the potholes. When I hit the pothole and called they pretty much told me too bad so sad we can't do anything.
Very friendly and kind people, definitely get that "Southern Hospitality" vibe, but with the growth of Smyrna, they need to step up their game.
Tammy Thaw is very very helpful.. She is the best.. She should be at the highest position in this job!
It is a rare livable city with a large Asian population. The largest Super Target and Dress for less stores are also here.
