Snowy Peaks High School is the new high School in Summit County, Colorado. We started as the alternative program of SHS but recently turned into the second high school here in the county. We are a small school and our first year ('11-'12) we expect to have around 50 students. We have three teachers planned with another being determined. We have Jen Wolinetz teaching English, Brett Tomlinson teaching Social Studies also being the principal, Tanya Kanning teaching Science.
"We will provide a safe, student-centered relationship-based environment, in which all students have a chance to excel in academics, develop strong character, contribute to their community and find their place in nature. Our diploma will ensure that each student has the skills to be successful in post-secondary education and the workforce."
