Snug Harbor is one of the few truly waterfront or riverfront parks in the amazing Sacramento River Delta area of Northern California, near the smaller Delta towns of Rio Vista, Walnut Grove, Isleton, Locke, and of course, the largest city is Sacramento.
Snug Harbor is a privately owned Marina, RV & camping resort located on historic Steamboat Slough in the "historic region" of the Sacramento-San Joaquin California Delta. Due to its unique waterfront setting and wonderfully-maintained grounds, we were awarded the designation "2001 Best Small Park" by the California Travel Park Association, the top honor we can receive in this state! People started camping on this land in the 1870's and it baecame an official campground by the 1930's. In the 1940s to 1950's homes over the water were added, but later removed, and the "trailer" park and tent camping expanded. By the 1980's the park also added a covered berth marina. Starting in 1997 under new ownership the RV park was completely upgraded with new 50 AMP pedistals, engineered septicsystems and other services. Gravel roads were paved. Yet the peaceful family-friendly environment of Snug Harbor and the Delta exists to this day. As some of our patrons who have been coming here since the 1940's! We are a quiet, family-oriented facility and enforce our rules so that everyone can enjoy this beautiful part of the Delta. We have waterfront rental cottages, some of which accept pets. Waterfront RV sites and tent sites. Dock space right infront or very nearby and within view. We have a gas dock, small store, and single-lane boat launch ramp. WIFI in most areas of the park and even the marina, but the WIFI is provided by an independent company so sometimes gets a bit slow.
