Society for Disabilities enhances the quality of life for people with disabilities within the Central Valley.

Description

For 70 years the Society for Disabilities has been providing services and recreational programs for individuals with disabilities. Please take a moment to explore our website featuring all the programs we offer to our neighbors.

Society for Handicapped is 100% privately funded and we depend on generous individuals and community-minded companies for funding. Please consider making a 100% tax deductible donation to our organization; no donation is too small and it is truly a great cause! We are a 5013c non profit organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service. Federal Tax ID# 94-1279804"

The loaning closet saved me $2000!! My sister is bedridden and need an electric bed. They loaned me one for $200 for a year! This gives me time to wait for the wheels of red tape concerning insurance.
I always find something great here. Not a huge store, but lots of turnover. Highly recommend, often some sort of sale happening here.
This is a wonderful non-profit organization that benefits our disabled community! They have a loan closet that is accessible to anyone that made need a wheel chair, knee scooter, hospital bed and much much more they also have a thrift store that is reasonably priced with a lot of different items . As well as so many events to help handi-capable people and their families meet other members of the community and have fun water skiing, ice skating ,and bowling just to name a few it’s a great place !!
Great bargains, it takes awhile to go through the store. Very good way to collect money for the disabled. I will go back to this store. This store has the best thrift store prices. Give it a try.
This is a good thrift store, they have a lot of necessities for great prices!
Went hunting for video games, did not have any at all. The staff was busy doing other things, on their phones, etc. their prices are a bit high for them being a thrift store. I understand it’s a charity for individuals with disabilities but a lot of the other customers in there looked homeless so I’m not sure if high prices would help them out. Great selection of furniture, would definitely recommend if you’re looking for furniture though. Would give it a 4.5 if you’re seeking furniture, for my tastes it’s a 3 though.
My favorite thrift store and charity. Great prices, very friendly staff, and good vibes all around. They make a real effort to act ethically and in the spirit of helping those in need. I have seen them helping the disabled many times and taking care of those whom walk in who clearly have need for help. No better place to donate or purchase from in the area.
A great place to shop for gently used items and a decent price AND a great way to help.
Great place to get what you need short term fir yor your lived ones. They took they time to make sure we knew how to operate the wheelchair safely before we left, ie put it up at fold it down.
Invaluable service for those in need of medical equipment. They were able to help us get a much needed wheelchair quickly. So thankful for their help!
