The food was delicious! It was not our first time in a Sokai location but our first time in this location Flagler. The service was spectacular, we had Daniel as our server which was very friendly and polite and gave AMAZING recommendations. We tried the Flagler roll, the Nubo, and the Cheesecake - all fantastic choices especially that cheesecake. Also had the red sangria and the sake mojito, both very good! Loved the experience we will definitely be back
Decided to stop here on my way back out east and WOW! What a spot. Our waiter, Ruben, was amazing. Fantastic service. The food was INCREDIBLE. It’s hard to find good sushi in Miami but these dishes were top 3. I had the rockstar and my boyfriend had the flagler, and they were both so amazing. The ambiance is cool, decor is pretty, open kitchen concept is cool to see as well. Definitely have to come back out here again just for Sokai!
I have been coming here for years and this is the best sushi place I have been to. All the sushi tastes great, specially Maui, Nobu and Dragon Rolls. The fried rice is the best I have tried even if you order it with veggies and they give you a good portion. The best thing to top it off is their burnt cheesecake, it’s delicious and it’s a dessert you will not try anywhere else. My whole family loves it and I have brought friends and they loved it too. I have been served multiple times by Ruben and he is really nice and gives good recommendations of foods to try. I have also order Uber eats and the food comes good and fresh.
Most delicious sushi and Peruvian style food. Luciana was a great waitress during our visit! She was very aware of us as we enjoyed the great food. We thank Chef José Ángel for the great food. We would come back in a heartbeat.
Tucked away in this urban retail section you'll find a surprise with Sokai. It looks very modest on the outside but once you set in, you'll see an elevated venue. The kitchen and bar and open. The layout is simple, efficient and esthetic. Most of the seating are tables but there are mixed booths and the bar as well. The menu is online and scan via QR code on the table. It is via extensive with photos. I actually suggest taking notes physically of what you like to make ordering a bit easier. Drinks are at the very bottom of the menu. A couple of suggestions are their house drinks. The sake mule was very fresh and a delight to drink. The red or white sangria can be ordered by the glass or bottle. If you get a glass you get a nice surprise of paleta inside. The fruit extra sweet being frozen and their was also carbonation or bubble essences to the paleta. For a quick appetizer go with edamae. It has a nice sauce on top of it with a hint a spice. Great was to eat edamae. For something more adventurous the sushi pizza is something unique. The crispy rice this is served on steals the show. Great texture, flavor and binds well with the rest of the ingredients. If you feel like rice there is sushi or fried rice dishes. And if you feel like different seafood you have ceviche with 5 or more options. If there's still room get the fluffy cheesecake. It comes with a side of strawberry ice cream with basil. The ice cream could almost be it's own dessert but with the cheesecake you have heaven. A little assuming from the outside but inside is different. The menu is truly extensive and it hits. My only regret was that I could not try more. But there's always next time. Oh there's also a few other locations in South Florida with the same menu!
The menu is huge, there are a lot of options to choose. Food is really good and the service is very attentive. Recommended!
Fantastic place, you can have a great experience. Food is really good, some Japanese - Peruvian fusion, but above everything is very tasty, whatever you choose, would never disappoint.
I Didn’t have a great experience at Sokai Doral, BUT, I decided today to try Sokai WEST FLAGLER and I’m so happy that I did. First, I was welcomed by the nicest person ever, her name was Katherine. She made the whole experience different because I told her about what happened to me in the other location. The ceviche: YUMMM!!! Excellent choice and the Maui Roll which they made it special for me OMG! Our server, Ruben, was incredibly nice, diligent and helpful… 10/10! I’m glad I visited them today and change my opinion about Sokai. Now I can say that I would probably visit them againt. Thank you Sokai West Flagler & Staff
Good food, very nice staff and ambience, Our table was a 5 person table , we spent a good amount of money as we always do in every restaurant we go, but when we asked for the check they didn’t give us a previous paper check, the waiter came with a portable machine to charge us without us knowing how much it was, l did not like that…it is out of the customer service protocol, on top of that they charged us 20% gratuity with out giving us the opportunity to decide the percentage of gratuity we wanted to give. Good restaurant but bad customer service ethics.
It was my first time here. Ruben was our server and he was great, but his english stops him from really understanding some things we said. I'd rather him say he didn't understand, instead of pretend to and then we have to ask again in a different way 5mins later. But this is constructive criticism and all of miami. He has what a great server needs to have. The tuna tataki is abit spicy, but really good & different from typical tatakis. The ceviche is great. We could tell it was fresh corvina! The tuna tartar roll is genius! I love it. It's rolled in tuna tartar!! The samurai roll has this sweetness to it that reminds me of bao buns. I will def visit this place again for sushi and ceviche. And i am sure the cooked food is wonderful too. We just went for the raw fish. Only bad thing, there are too many options! It's hard to pick. Lol. But it's a good thing. To try something new each visit.
