I am so shock to be writing such an awful review, when I have been getting my nails done by Janet since 2016. After a long break from acrylic nails I would only just get pedicures, I decided to get my nails done for my birthday July along with my pedicure since it was a special occasion. In the six years I've been going to Janet this was the first time I did not like my nails. Long story short Janet soaked them off this was before polish and design was applied and said she would only charge me $30 for the nails that I had removed off. I didn't agree that I should pay when I had the nails removed, however, she said I'd only have to pay for the pedicure. I paid for the Pedicure and still added the tip. Anyways, once I got home I thought about it and called the salon back to pay the $30 dollars. I told Janet she could charge my card over the phone. To my surprise Janet decline the payment and said it was okay. I said well my next pedicure appointment not only will I be paying for the pedicure but I will be giving you the 30 dollars. Fast forward to today, I called to make an appointment for a pedicure with Janet and not only would she not come to the phone, she said that she will no longer work with me because she was uncomfortable. I have been going to this woman for SIX YEARS! Not six days, weeks or months. SIX YEARS! Never had an issue, I tip her well, always show up to my appointments on time, and even paid in advance once! The ONE TIME I didn't like my nails she is now uncomfortable and is refusing service. Solar nails, Janet was one of the sweetest people so I thought but you see true colors the one time I didn't like the work. I wasn't trying to get anything free, which is why I had them removed. But if you have a technician that will burn bridges over one incident...WOW! Not to mention, the exchange regarding me not liking the service was polite. No voices were raised or anything. I thought we were good. I just simply didn't like my nails. But to devalue six years of loyalty is the epitome of poor customer service. I even followed her when she was in the DC location. Like I said SIX YEARS! As I told Janet via text, there are so many other salons with better professionalism and talent that I will go elsewhere. But as a customer who supported both locations for the duration of six years I am deeply disappointed. Janet, do better! It truly wasn't that serious. Your loss. Not mine. Response to your inaccurate response: I have never mistreated Janet. Do you even know who I am? I always had a great relationship with her. I don't treat anyone badly. But no worries, this was the best thing that could happen. You as the owner, response is a joke. To say I treated her badly, far from the truth, as she would have never been my nail tech for six years.Services: Acrylic nails
I usually go there and I found despite the price the gel manicure and pedicure to be awesome. I had a bad experience today for my two little girls. I asked that they do manicure on them. Expect for a layer of nail polish nothing was done that they charged 10 dollars each. Once home half of their nails were already without polish. I don’t mind paying when a service is done but this was a complete joke and so disrespectful of the customer. One layer not even nicely done. Also when I complained about it as I paid the lady usually very nice just seemed to ignore me. That’s such a disappointmentService: Manicure
Nice spa but very expensive. I just moved in the area and wanted to try a nail salon. I got my pedicure will gel polish which was 53 dollars this is my first time seeing a ridiculous price for a gel pedicure with a salon and it’s not a luxury one the pedicure wasn’t worth 53 dollars because I didn’t receive all the extra things they say they do with it. Any other salon I tried did more than they did even offered water and had a reasonable price. My feet did come out looking pretty and my manicure. My eyebrows was 12 dollars wish was also very high in price and I really didn’t like the way my technician did them and I didn’t even want her to fix it when she tried the second time. Overall it looks nice inside just very high in price and it’s not a luxury salon.Services: Manicure
Solid standard Mani Pedi. My nail tech was friendly, had good communication about what I wanted and what they were doing, and did a great job. Prices seemed low to mid range. The environment and tools seemed clean and well maintained. Only downside was the pedicure massage chair was the most uncomfortable such chair I've used, bc the controls are limited to depending on your height the massage function might just dig into your ribs.
Ali did a great job on my dip powder nails. She was gentle, detailed and helped with choosing pretty holiday color pink w. Slight glitter can’t see too well in photo though will definitely be back!
Really wanted to love this place considering it is walking distance to my house but unfortunately it's a no. Started off ok with pedicure but nails were not files correctly and were jagged and uneven. Tried to get them to correct it and was told it was because my nails are thin. It didn't really make sense and ultimately someone else was sent over to correct it and she understood what i was saying right away. But unfortunately by then my nails on one side were filed incredibly short. Nails then looked ok but still some rough edges. By day 3 the edges all started to chip. And this was a gel manicure. So frustrating!
I wanted this place to be my go-to. Friendly staff, great technician & clean shop. What I don't appreciate is making an appointment and at the time of service being advised that because someone else is coming behind me, I should reduce the services I'd requested. For months I've been getting an appointment for the same service with the same technician at the same time. I book online and have no way to know if it's a schedule conflict. So when the technician attempted to fault me because my service "takes too long", that was not cool. Clients aren't responsible for managing a business' schedule and the adjustment wasn't my responsibility. I didn't book at the last minute and selected my time from THEIR online calendar & specified my service request. Perhaps they should practice some appointment confirmation and not expect a client to adjust upon arrival. They're not giving me anything free. I will save them the time and save myself the money. __________________________________________ Response to owner: That's all well and fine, but if you promote your service as "stress-free" and a "spa like" experience, your technician should not be challenging a paying client about the time spent to deliver the services that you advertise. If a 20 minute foot massage is too much for them to accommodate, then don't offer it on your service menu. Don't rush through a service for someone who is paying and tipping for what they requested when an appointment was made. Your place is nice but it's nothing extraordinary and certainly not the only game in town, so when your paying clients are made to feel like an inconvenience, they can and will go elsewhere.
10/10 they did an amazing job and honestly the best experience I’ve had getting a Pedicure done. Really nice people and I definitely recommend coming to this place for a nice relaxing evening. Service: Pedicure
Got a pedicure here. It was a great experience. The massage chair was heavenly and my technician Briana was very nice and gentle at my request which was good for me. They have a big selection of colors. During my pedicure, a lady walked in asking to fix her nail and the technician did it nicely and politely without any complaints which I thought was very professional. The Asian lady though... seems a bit rude but her customer seems to love her so maybe she’s funny that way. Will go back
Maria gave me a gorgeous gel manicure and classic pedicure. Attention to detail was much appreciated.
