The accounting firm of Kelly, Dickerson & Sombar, C.P.A.'s was formed on August 25, 1978 from a proprietorship of William E. Kelly, C.P.A. started in 1956. In 1993, the firm's name was changed to Sombar & Cimo, C.P.A.'s. In early 1994, Stephen D. Cimo left the firm. Effective January 1, 1998 the firm was incorporated and the name is now Sombar & Company, CPAs, P.A. The firm is primarily focused on tax related engagements. We prepare compilation and review reports for many of our tax clients, when required by lenders and other parties. We also conduct a limited number of audits. At the present time, our audit services are limited to nonprofit organizations and municipalities. The firm's service area is primarily Kent and Sussex counties in Delaware. Our clientele includes a wide variety of individuals and businesses. We service farmers, fire companies, lawyers, medical practices, museums, non-profit organizations, small business (of all types) and corporations. Our personnel predominantly have extensive experience and knowledge of the clients we service. This is due mainly to the length of service of our personnel and the length of time our clients have been associated with the firm and its predecessors. Our staff is dedicated to continuing education in our field. We strive to keep our clients informed of new regulations that will affect them. Our objective is to provide quality accounting, auditing and tax services to our clients at a fair cost. We limit our practice to those clients we can properly serve. We hope to retain our local identity and personal relationships with our clients. We believe this is the foundation of our practice.
