My daughters both had gift cards to Sonic, so we decided to use them on our way home from errands. We pulled in to a stop at 6:38pm and started placing our order. When we tried ordering ice cream, we were told we couldn’t because they were cleaning the machines for the night. They don’t close until 11:00pm, so we thought it was odd they’d quit serving ice cream so early. It almost seemed like they just didn’t want to and used that as an excuse. The person taking our order didn’t seem the happiest. We placed our order which consisted of 8 items. I had read a lot of bad reviews about the wait time, so we were prepared to wait. We watched the screen next to us which gave updates on our order. About 20-30 minutes later the screen said Zachary was bringing out our order. He walked it right up to the driver’s side and was so nice. He had a very different demeanor than whoever had taken our order. The BBQ Chip Seasoned Tots were SO GOOD! I want more!!! Please make those permanent on the menu! The Buffalo Sauced Jumbo Chicken was pretty good too…and the large was decently proportioned. I’d get the jumbo chicken again, but probably plain and I’ll use some dipping sauce at home. My daughter and husband didn’t really like the burgers. One got the SuperSONIC Bacon Double Cheeseburger and the other got a Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger. The Quarter Pound was a pretty sad looking burger and now I know why it’s only $2-$3. The Ched ‘R’ Peppers were delicious, but you only get 4 of them. The cheese fries were a little sad looking, but my youngest enjoyed them. I won’t go out of my way to go to Sonic again, but if my kids happen to get gift cards again, I’ll definitely get more tots, popcorn chicken, and hopefully some ice cream.
I was served a hot dog that was so decayed it was unrecognizable. I showed the manager a picture and he asked me what it was a picture of and told me it was disgusting. I told him it was the chili dog they served me. He offered to make me another one. The pictures are horrendous. I cannot believe I ate one bite of that. Soon after my stomach was upset, I had diarrhea, and it triggered an AFIB event; something I have not had in years. This is definitely something a regulator should investigate. It had to be a bad prank. No one could accidentally put that on a bun and serve that to a customer. I will never eat there again and if you choose to you better examine your food first. It was reported to Sonic Corporate and neither them or the owner acted to resolve it. Update months later: Corporate and the franchise owner for this location has made no effort to explain what they have done to investigate or correct this issue. It basically indicates they do not care and feel it will not have an impact on their bottom line. You as consumers should care and let them know serving garbage like that is unacceptable. If you bite into someone’s joke you will wish you had. Choose wisely. I’d like to meet the person who served that to me:
Just went on a Sunday night 7/30/23 at 9:30p. Took 45 min to get thru the drive through and people are leaving left and right, not only from the drive through, but also from the pull in spots. When I finally get near the window, I see that the workers are very young and immature—one young guy delivered food out to a car and then was purposefully locked out by another young guy who stared him in the face and danced multiple times instead of letting him inside the staff door, so the first guy had to go all the way around to get back inside, which I imagine is part of the reason for the inefficiency and poor customer service. In any case, I just wanted some shakes for my wife and me as we finally carved out some time to have an at-home date night when the kids went to bed. Except, I’m assuming because of the 45 min wait, our hot fudge shakes were now just cups of chocolate milk.
We waited a hour for our food, which I can understand sometimes because they seemed very understaffed. We tried placing an order on the app and the shake came out completely melted and runny. The red headed girl was rude and said that’s how it was supposed to be? However, the nice young boy I really wish I knew his name not only fixed the shake for us, he came out and wrote down our other orders on a piece of paper and got us our food fairly quickly. He was working so hard and doing his very best to pick up the slack of all his other coworkers. Major props to this kid, he’s the only reason I’m not giving a 1 star review. I will go back to this location just because of the service of this young guy. I even gave him a tip because you could just tell that he cared. Give that young man a raise! He has glasses and dark hair and was working on the night of August 6th.
We went in and ordered way late and we had kind of a big order sorry guys! But they didn't even hesitate. They were quick and really good! The guy who brought us our food to the car was so nice and even though we sent him back inside for a couple of things fry sauce and mustard he was great and served us with a smile!!Food: 5/5
Ordered on the app and waited 45 minutes this is no exaggeration to receive 4 drinks and an icecream cone. They were incredibly busy and very understaffed. Reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is the young blonde manager guy that I talked to I went up to the window after a half hour of waiting in the stall was incredibly nice, apologetic, and helpful and agreed it was a ridiculously long time for what we ordered. Drinks were also all correct. Definitely an issue with owners and management higher up that’s only scheduling 3 or 4 workers during a huge weekend rush. Also keep in mind you’re unable to easily receive a refund if you order on the app.
Wow, what an incredible place. I think it’s new, but I could see this turning into a large chain in the future. It’s like a drive thru, except you just park and they bring the food to your car! Our waiter even had roller blades! So cool! We ordered 64 corn dogs and they gave us 65 pls don’t snitch. Definitely will go back. I hear their shakes are also good.
Thus place is getting worse and worse!! I did an order on the app and they said my order was on the way. Well 4 minutes go by, nothing. So I walk up and he said he'll be right out. He comes out to tell me no slashes. They couldn't get on the intercom to tell me??? So I settled for drinks and they bring wrong sizes. So I lost money to them. Terrible service. So sad we don't have customer service anymore
Sonic has a HUGE drink menu, plus you can make your own unique drinks too. I love their footlong chili cheese coney's with tots. They also have delicious hamburgers and onion rings. Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu. Parking: Plenty of parking.
We tried to get a soda off the app on our way through. We told the app we were there, but the machine at our spot didn’t acknowledge us. We waited over 10 minutes, then pressed the red button to see if we could reach someone. No one answered so we tried to go to the door, but no one was there to help us. We ended up leaving even though we paid for the soda :
