I don't eat fast food often, so this was my first visit to Sonic for National Hotdog Day. It does not get 5 stars because there is not bathroom for people to wash their hands prior to eating. But I was going to take my hotdogs home and eat them. It is very Happy Days-like with the skaters coming out to bring you your order.
Real nice, pull up, drive thru stations like the oldies. You can pull up to one of there stands and order your food. It will be brought out to you and you can eat in your car or some nearby tables that are provided. Real nice atmosphere, not congested, very spacious and the food is good. The portions are fairly big especially the super Sonic burger with everything. They have a nice size menu with drinks and ice creams. Good stuff.
Ordered a few items at one of the stalls. Waited about 20 minutes and no food was brought out. Checked with staff at this point and was assured that even though the restaurant was having technical issues our food was almost ready and would be out soon. Fast forward another 30 minutes and still no food or updates. At this point we just pull up to the drive through, we're told that the restaurant never received our order and that we would have to go back into a stall and start the order again..... We pull back into the stall and try to order again, order taker is rude and unhelpful. I was done at this point. Drove off and won't be coming back. Spent about an hour here and left with no food or drinks
Not gonna lie, Sonic isn't as good as I remember. Don't know if it was just this location or if the quality across the chain has gone down, but the food was just okay at best. It didn't do anything to stand out over the competition. Their best strength is their drinks, but that just isn't enough to stand out. If you're in the area, I'd still recommend checking it out, especially if you use the mobile app for discounts, but otherwise don't bother. Still, gave it four stars because the food isn't any worse than other competitors. It just isn't any better either.
The person taking our order sounded as if he was not interested in providing great service. He double charged, added things to the order and I went to use the bathroom facility and there was no tissue. Food was good shake was great.
Very different from anything in the tristate, food is always worth the wait; though if you prefer grilled Frank's don't buy them here. Everything else especially the tots are amazing! Love the endless possibilities for drinks and shakes!
As I walked up to the menu, it seemed the staff was dealing with a difficult customer. Im not sure the details of the situation but it seemed like they kept their cool even when dealing with your typical late night food patron wanting to cause an issue for no valid reasoni work in the food industry so i know. They still managed to get my food out to me. Order was correct, and pretty damn good.
Literally the worst Sonic in the state. Maybe even the country. Not a single positive about this location, and it all stems from the service. Anyone can flip a burger, but these guys/gals are horrendous on both the production and customer service side of things. I’m sitting in the lot right now and I’m about drive out. I’ve waited in a stall to be able to order for 20 minutes. There are 5 stalls including mine and I’ve waited 20 minutes to even be able to order? Every time it’s something with this location. They don’t deserve your money. Hit them where it hurts. With your wallet. There are way too many places to spend your money on to be supporting the bs these guys are pulling. Pathetic honestly.
Went to grab lunch with my son on a Saturday, lunch hour, between 11:30 and 12:30. There were 3 cars including mine in the lot, none in drive thru. I pressed the little red button to make my order and waited... and waited... and waited... and waited about 10 minutes went by. I could hear the car that pulled in after me making their order so I went up to the window. I asked what the problem was. The supposed manager, who looked about 17 yrs old and I don't think was the manager, tells me he tried to take my order but couldn't hear me. So instead chose to just ignore me. I asked him if he was going to take my order? So I waited... and waited... and waited. 20 minutes in this empty Sonic and I've yet to make my order. Never again! There's a McDonald's across the street. This sonic location is very inconsistent sometimes you get great fast service but more often its a bunch of teens that are too busy on social media or blasting music that they can't remember the ketchup after the third time you ask them. Btw the McDonald's across the street was packed and I was in and out. Thanks Sonic.
For the past few "experiences", it has left a bad taste in my mouth. They make you wait an eternity to bring you your food, which is never hot. It was the worst during my last trip where they tried to overcharge me in the drive through. I know these are kids, but COME ON!!! I don't even eat McDonalds anymore, but got better customer service. And then they never seem to have what you want. I agree with another commenter, I was discriminated against. Will not be going there ever again. Will try a different location with a different type of staff
