We had forgotten one item from our order but had already left. And couldn’t make it back in time for the lunch hour. They let us refund the one item and went out of their way to bring us the food anyway. Best customer service I’ve seen from this place in a couple years looks like they’re turning things around!. Thank you to the staff and management I really appreciated it.
Very weird hours, breakfast at 9 am so no breakfast for anyone that has to be at work at 9am? Smart. Had the Cheese Stix promo and they gave me salsa instead of marinara. Never right or fast.
First the good. They were accomodating for a keto diet. We just had to call to get no bread because the app doesn't let you remove bread and we didn't want the cheese stuck to the bread. We received discounts on our coffees for it being before 10 AM. So his 1.69 hot coff was only .99 and my 3.49 large cold brew coffee was 1.49. We arrive with a camper so we have to walk up to get our order. Now the bad. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches with extra meat. They put them in bowls for us that was nice. I asked them to put them in 1 and they were placed in 2, still no big deal. But then when I flipped the one into the other for my husband there was a long hair cooked into the eggs and melted into the cheese and bacon/sausage. When I walk back up to the window they didn't act like it was a big deal. The girl is like i'll remake it. The sad part is there was never a " let me comp it ". Now don't get me wrong I've worked in the restaurant industry where people try to get everything free, however this was cooked into it not just sitting there so you could tell it wasn't staged. Also I ordered a French vanilla coffee that was large. They said they have cold brew and I told them if it wasn't the French vanilla I didn't want it because I do not like regular iced coffee they said it's like a French vanilla. So I thought it was new staff because it either is or it is not. It was not and when I explained that they just gave me a cup of syrup. Definitely not the same as other Sonics. I now understand the 2.5 star reviews. There was another couple there with issues as well and no one else was there so I think I need to start listening to reviews. Just sad because the sonic by my house isn't like this they are good. Waste of my money and I doubt I would come back to this sonic. Other downfalls it said that the sonic in Salida, CO also was not currently allowing the app so you couldn't use any promos. Now with that being said. Customer service: Had they comped the mistake I wouldn't of left the review and just wrote it off as accidents happen and they are trying, however you could tell this wasn't a first and they didn't value the business.
The drive-thru line usually has a slow-moving line of cars in it during the evenings... I've never waited in a line for the amount if time I have at this place.. But those happy hour drinks keep me coming back. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available and lots of sugary drinks that kids will love. Parking: Car hop.
Ordered chicken sandwich. Disappointed with chicken, it was dry and small.
Not sure what was going on, but I pressed the red button to order and it said “Red Button activated, We’ll be with you soon.” after about 15 minutes the button reset and asked me to press it again to order. I repeated this process two more times and never got service. After waiting for over 30 minutes I decided to go to the drive thru, there was two cars in front of me and I waited another 25 minutes for my food. Waste of time.
I got my food in a slightly timely manner. However they forgot my mustard. No big deal, I just pushed the button. The people next to me left after getting no service at all. I eventually had to get out of my car and go to the door to ask for it. By the time I got to eat my food I had to heat it in the microwave. They never did answer the red button by the time I left and the person who appeared to be the manager just sitting on the computer.
5 cars went through the drive though while I at in a lane. I sat in a lane for 20 minutes waiting to order before I left. What a joke. You can see how slow it was and they still couldn’t manage to take my order.
Please don't patronize this restaurant. My son worked here last summer and this summer. He had an accident in June where he slammed his head into a rack and had to go the Salida ER. This Sonic didn't fill out an incident report and now their corporate office won't acknowledge it either. We've called and sent multiple emails and no response. The hospital wants their money but this Sonic won't even call us back. This place does not value it's employees and in this case is failing to abide by law. Patronize a restaurant in town that actually complies with the law.
Not only did I have to wait 10 minutes for a simple burrito. It fell apart when I opened the package to eat it, that was the first time I've ever spit food out. It's just fast food, but even so, how hard is fast food to make? Figure it out.
