Ever since Sonny passed away they have ran the store into the ground. They no longer serve alcohol. Also, today when I went to get some ice cream I had to dig through the cooler looking for the flavor that they told me they would get. They didn't have it. Then I went to look at food items and he told me to hurry because he wanted to close. They barely have any food. I spent like 30 seconds there when he told me to hurry. I have seen him be rude to other people as well. I will not be going back. I wouldn't even give them 1 star but I had to choose that to be able to post this. ALSO, as of today, 8/14/2023? I cannot wait for the 76 station to open back up because the guy today was super rude. The customer service at the 76 station is leaps and bounds above Sonny's and only 1 block away! You guys are going to lose a lot of business once they open again! I cannot wait! Sonny would be so upset to know how rude the people running his business are!
Nicest cashiers, well stocked, and they do sell liquor now good prices for a corner store, too
Of all the markets around this is by fare the best and the cashiers are super polite
The guys that work here are always friendly. I have been going here forever there almost like family. Miss seeing Sonny and G. Its sad there no longer around. Ali does a great job running the place. The only thing missing is the store not having there liquor license once they get there license back and start selling liquor again they will be open later which will be nice.
I have no idea why they're advertising beer on the outside and on the inside they have no alcohol at all .....used to be a liquor store but now it's not ......they really need to change the signs......so u dont waste ur time
This is your typical Rancho Cordova ghetto liquor store but with a twist. They have some very unusual ethnic foods there. I happen to love spreadable cream cheese and I buy that every time I go. it's the only place I can find the brand and I'm not sure where it comes from but I'm pretty sure it's imported. Good luck trying to find it in the store it's pretty well hidden as I think it's a personal item for the owners. Lots of things you wouldn't expect to see in a liquor store purses, clothing, and knick knacks of all sorts. I could spend a little bit of time in there looking around LOL
The guy that works there is nice but takes advantage of the community or low income Families that don’t gave the means to go to a grocery store. He will sell you items marked 30 percent higher then it’s value and it will be off brand. Ans sometimes even expired bought cake mix, eggs, frosting. A bag of chips small bag and eggs. And somehow it costed 29 dollars and the mix was expired by 8 months oh and he won’t do returns
It is no longer a liquor store. They have decided to stop selling liquor and all alcohol. It is a quick shop for the hotel across the street. Minor convenience and souvenirs.
Definitely loved by the people in the neighborhood, the guys running Sonny's keep everyone happy and taken care of no matter how busy they get. They have food and an assortment of incidentals as well as ice, alcoholic beverages and other drinks like sodas and beer.
There is very poor customer service and utmost respect. I walked in with something I had already bought and was told I had to pay twice. I also question the upkeeping and maintenance of the building. This store was absolutely not okay and shouldn’t be able to function.
