The mission of the Sonoma Valley Historical Society is to provide a forum and a resource for the study and dissemination of Sonoma Valley history for present and future generations by identifying, collecting, preserving, and sharing artifacts.

Located in the heart of Wine Country, our museum has an old fashioned charm that you simply must experience. Scenic Sonoma Valley is the perfect place to capture California's historical wonder.
A perfect stop on your afternoon walk, our Depot Park Museum is open from 1 to 4 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free, but we do accept donations! Travel back in time to the 1800's and immerse yourself in Sonoma's early history.
Railroad buffs will love our Train Room and authentic railroad cars, while history fanatics will enjoy our Victorian Life Displays. There's something here for everyone.

The Society produces exhibits, monthly meetings, and the newsletter "Sonoma Valley Notes". Members have published several books about local history. The major Society program is operating the Depot Park Museum and the Marcy House Archives and Research Center.
