MISSION STATEMENT: Sonset Fellowship is designed to be a pavilion of worship and outreach. Our mission is to please the Lord Jesus Christ and our commission is to proclaim His Gospel to our local and global communities.
A brand new work for Jesus was launched on Sunday afternoon, August 23rd, 2009 at the home of Kenneth & Betty Pavy under their carport. Forty-something souls showed up to lift up Jesus and to capture the vision of what would be known as Sonset Fellowship.
That Wednesday night, fellowship moved to Rotary Park - shelter by the playground. A celebration was also in order for the assistant pastor, Bro. Ralph Creekmore.
The next Sunday, on August 30th, the newly-forming church family met under a different carport: at the home of Mark & Billie Daniel. This was the first time they had Sunday school and a Sunday night service. The first sermon was preached by pastor Grant Pavy. It was entitled "You Gotta Be In It To Win It." He spoke of being IN CHRIST. Rededications took place that beautiful day!
The following Sunday, Sonset Fellowship assembled at the local Red Cross building behind Crockett Hospital. They would meet there for a couple months and then in November the growing group of Christians started renting an old Methodist church building known as Wesley Chapel. They stayed there until September 2010 when the move was made back to town and the current address of 309 North Columbia Avenue in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Our mission is to get people saved and on way to heaven!!
Offer Jesus!!
