Sophias House

We stayed during my surgery, the night before, and my husband the night of while I was admitted. The staff we interacted with were friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. There were some "community foods" available, and a community kitchen where you can bring your own food to keep there or cook. Parking is right across from the main hospital center, making it a perfect location. I would highly recommend this place for patients and family of patients! Rooms: The rooms were kept clean and had a nice layout. Safety: I felt very safe there, it was quiet, they have security guards, and the place is locked often.

They had a room for us at the last minute when we needed it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are great size and very clean and modern. I love that the rooms and bathrooms are private. Laundry rooms are also definitely a plus and so helpful being right in the same building. The staff tries to help and accommodate in any way that they can. They are all very caring. I don't know what we would have done without a room at Sophia's house. We definitely wouldn't be able to spend very much time up here with our daughter whole she's in the hospital, so this is a blessing! Thank you to everyone at Sophia's house

Exceptionally accommodating my husband’s changing schedules due to my extended ICU stay. The facility is clean, modern and well appointed. He stayed over 10 nights and was able to store his food in the refrigerator, use the microwave and there was plenty of disposable dishes and silverware - makes for quick, easy clean up. He enjoyed the tv in his room and made walking across the street so pleasant and affordable. Was a perfect solution to unexpected hospital visits and he could safely walk to pick up meals from the hospital or local restaurants. Thank you for hospitality.

Stayed 2 nights for mom's surgery. Absolutely awesome place to rest with comfortable surroundings. I can walk from here to Trinity Health where the room was located. The kitchen has food options for those that may have forgotten food or spices with an option to eat if there are community dishes available in the fridge.Rooms: 5/5

If you have someone in the hospital, this is the place for you. $40 a night! You have access to the kitchen 24 hours a day. You can cook like at home. And there are a host of other things there for you. Best ever.Rooms: 5/5

Everything was OK until they have eggs from 2 months ago and eggs are only good for a month after the sell dateRooms: 4/5

I Love Sophia's house, so Thankful to have an affordable Beautiful place to stay when I come to Grand rapids for my Dr visits. Very warm welcoming in the atmosphere! Great place, great price, not much staff but can't beat 40 a night for such a modernized facility.Rooms: 4/5

A Hotel could not have offered any better experience. Accommodations an employee's were excellent! The Community kitchen offered everything you need to cook away from home. Fully equipped! Items marked for ALL really are a blessing for the guests.

The most convenient, clean and comfortable place to stay when a loved one is in the hospital. The staff was very nice and helpful. A great place to stay without breaking the bank when you want to be focusing on family while they are seeking medical treatment. I would highly recommend Sophia's House.
