Founder, Aldo Sorrentino began his quest to become a tailor in his hometown of Cosenza in the region of southern Italy known as Calabria. He graduated with Highest of honors from one of Italy's most prestigious tailoring and cutting schools located in the city of Catanzaro. He was honored with "Diploma di Medaglia di Oro." The cutting school he attended boasts famous alumni including Franca Versace the mom and inspiration of famed designer Gianni Versace. When Aldo immigrated to the Unites States, he made Chicago his permanent home. Aldo quickly gained a reputation as a master craftsman while working for famed Custom Tailor Lawrence Pucci. In 1972, Aldo decided to break out on his own by starting his own Custom Tailor and Alterations shop known as Sorrentino Tailors. For the past 38 years, Sorrentino Tailors has been one of the leading destinations in the Chicago land area for exquisite custom tailoring and alterations.
