This place is in the holy trinity of Catonsville area pizza. Decent pie - the sauce is the best. Crust is lacking. Cheese is plentiful.
I’m 39 years old and have been eating here at Sorrento‘s for as long as I can remember. It’s always been our family’s, and we have a extremely large family, dining spot. Definitely a family tradition. Unfortunately post Covid, Sorrento‘s has gone way downhill. I don’t know what’s going on with the pizza, but it’s nowhere near as good as it used to. New sauce? New cheese? Sorrento‘s now delivers, well when they feel like it. 90% of the time that I’ve called to have food delivered they have not had drivers available.Lastly, they need to fix their hours. It’s states on here, Yelp, even the actual restaurant that they close at 10pm however they seem to close between 9 and 9:30 or whenever the hell they want. So which time is it? 9? 9:30? 10? Sorrento’s - PLEASE get it together! My family and I would love to continue supporting this local small business, where we’ve made many memories, but you must do better.
Went to this place to support Spirit Night for a school! A place that works with the families in the community is one that should be visited! The pizza was great. Kids rated 8 out 10 . Nice casual eating family spot. This would be a great spot to host family friendly activity nights. The kids and I will definitely return with our games in tow.
Yeah for me, the food just isn't good here. I tried a medium half cheese half pep pizza, the cheesesteak egg rolls, chicken tenders, on two different occasions. The Pizza was by far the best out of the bunch, but even that was just "so-so" pizza. Everything else was pretty dissatisfying. I'm giving 2 stars because the customer service is good, if it wasn't for that it would be a 1 star for me.
Been coming here since I can remember, sadly last night was my last visit. Ordered a medium pizza with fries and gravy. While waiting for my order at the bar area I could overhear the owner berate a young employee on the busy Saturday night for about 2-3 minutes. No respect for young ones that could have been in earshot of the foul language, no respect for the employee. I asked another employee afterwards if he's always like that and they stated "It's like that around here." What used to be amazing pizza turned into melted cheese on bread. Gravy was bitter. This place has declined badly and I will not support an owner who treats his employees without respect. Those are conversations to be held in the office, how embarrassing.
I ordered a tuna with bacon and provolone cheese and got a ham with cheddar cheese when told of the issue the staff laughed not sure if what is going on. Along with the restaurant being dirty.
I'm only giving Sorrento's 3 stars because they changed the gravy on their gravy fries. Since I was a little, I have been coming to Sorrento's and it has always been very good. The last time I went 2 months ago, everything was fine, except for the gravy fries. When I tasted it, the gravy was fine going down, but then it had an awful after taste. I told my grandmother to taste it and she said the gravy was bitter. I came here today October 15, 2022 and I decided to get the gravy fries because I thought it must have been a bad day the other time I went. I was wrong: the gravy still has a bad after taste. I will never get the gravy ever again. It tasted terrible! Other than the gravy fries, I always get a pizza. The pizza always comes out perfect and it was really good. 10/10 for the pizza.
This place is great! The service is so welcoming and the food is delicious! The manager Joe was such a pleasure, he came to our table and make sure our food tasted great and checked in if we needed anything. Highly recommend!!!!
Called in a single sub order for pickup and was told 10-15 minutes. Go to pick up 15 minutes later. Pay. Was told it’s coming right up. 20 minutes standing around later and still no food. Ask what’s going on. They had not even started to make it yet. Don’t waste any time here the foods not worth it anyway
