Worse experience ever. I drove to Newton nj to get all my 4 wisdom teeth removed and it was a waste of time. He only removed 1 and performed a coronectomy in one of them and left the other 2, he said he couldn’t finish because he would have to undergo more anesthesia. I never heard of such a thing. mind you im not from there i live 1 hour away, Only drove there because I thought he would get the job done as we discussed. So I decided to go to another oral surgeon to clean up his mess and they said he’s done an horrible job. Please do not go to this guy, he so unprofessional, unsanitary and failed to provide instructions for aftercare. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER. Do not go to him.
DO NOT USE THIS GUY! First, Sosna did a terrible job on the surgery itself. Bad complications after, starting with a severe reaction to the anesthesia. My son was a MESS in the recovery room. It went downhill from there. After 4 days, he still had Severe pain, bleeding. He kept telling me something was wrong. My son went back to that office twice with severe pain and issues, and they had no idea what they were doing. I had no choice, so I took my son to another Dr in Sparta to figure out what to do. That doctor confirmed that another of my son's molars suffered trauma during surgery proven by X-rays taken in Sosna's office just before the surgery, and was so severely damaged, it needed to be pulled. Recommended by Dr. Murphy of Serenity Dental Spa, we chose Morris-Sussex Oral Surgery, and had an amazing experience. They took out the tooth Dr. Sosna destroyed, as well as all 4 Wisdom teeth just yesterday. He's home recovering just fine. No bleeding. Pain is managable. He's doing great. DO NOT RISK YOURSELF OR YOUR CHILDREN WITH THIS BUTCHER, HOWARD SOSNA. I called a lawyer who deals with Dental Malpractice and he said: "50% of my business comes from Dr. Sosna patients. Sosna shouldn't even be in practice anymore."
Flo is the worst person I've ever had to deal with as far as health care is concerned... she obviously doesn't belong in the position she is in... she was very rude and heartless to say the least after I explained that there was a loss in my boyfriends family and that's why there wasn't a call to cancel the appointment... absolutely astonishing that she works there
The office staff had extremely rude people working but one amazing nurse and I wish I knew her name! The doctor was absolutely terrible. He pricked me with the IV without gloves on, and still attempted to use the same dirty needle. I had to go back multiple times to get my tooth fixed and he went to remove it he packing when, there wasn’t any in my socket. He dug in my gums. The pain was unbelievable the entire 4 week healing period due to this. I do NOT recommend
I truly do not understand all the one star reviews. I was TERRIFIED of getting my wisdom teeth pulled. I mean I had panic attacks the whole month of preparation. Dr Sosna and the nurses there made me so reassured that everything was going to be okay. The needle went in my arm, I was talking to the nurse, I passed right out and woke up right as they were finishing. Very friendly and professional. No complications during the extraction and I'm 27 years old so the teeth are fully formed. Couldn't recommend more.
Office staff is very rude. They make fun of patients ex: Flo picks up a call with a "different" name & the ladies have a grand laugh. I needed a tooth pulled & Sosna left me after 2 surgeries with the same problem. A hole between my tooth extraction and my sinuses causing wwater to come out my nose and mucus to constantly restrict my breathing. They won't answer my calls because he told me there's a 3rd surgery to fix this problem but they have blocked me He would've gotten 4 stars -1 for office staff if he held up to his word.
Just got two wisdom teeth removed here. The doc was great, he made sure I knew what was happening, did everything perfectly, seemingly efficiently as far as I can tell from a patient perspective, and very quick and painless The most important part of the experience and the reason I felt the need to go out of my way to make a 5 star review was one of the nurses I'm bad with titles and apologize if that is technically incorrect, Tracy Tracey*?. She is one of the most down to earth enjoyable people I've met in general let alone this profession. She very quickly made me feel like we'd been friends for years with everything in common, was an absolute sweetheart helping to ease my nerves/anxiety which I usually suffer very badly from especially in medical settings. She was able to converse and relate to me, ease all the worries that I had and make me feel very comfortable and relaxed. It was like having an old and really good friend there with you, to the point of feeling safe and comforted hearing/seeing her in there with, all while staying highly professional and getting what she needed to do done. Truthfully all the employees seem very friendly and helpful but Tracy goes far above and beyond the norm and I recommend requesting her when you visit
This is THE WORST medical office ever! The dentist broke my husbands tooth and didn't even tell him. They scheduled him a follow up visit for a few days after his procedure, and they weren't even there when he returned. They wrote the time and day on a card and NO ONE was there. They have no care for people or their time. Then I receive a bill almost a YEAR LATER for nonsense. When I called to speak to the receptionist about what the bill was for, because it didn't say on it, she was COMPLETELY rude and aggressive. It was weird. We only went here because it was the only place our insurance would approve, but do yourself a favor and run far far away from this place. If you have to travel farther, do it. This place is awful. If I could give 0 stars I would.
I chose not to be put to sleep and had 3 teeth removed quickly and painlessly last week. It was done in a few minutes. I have recovered quickly, no swelling, very little bleeding with no real need for painkillers. I am so happy I chose him to remove my teeth. My husband and daughter have gone to him multiple times over the last 12 years with total success each time. This was my first time. He's very professional and exceptionally good at what he does. The office staff and nurses are friendly and incredibly helpful. They are willing to figure out my insurance and help me in any way needed. I was even able to get in earlier because of a cancellation. We will remain a repeat family. Thank you all for such a great experience!
WORST office staff I’ve ever dealt with. I waited a MONTH for an extraction with associated abbess, only to be told they couldn’t take me because I was 15 minutes late, mind you, they wouldn’t allow me to drive myself or call an Uber, so I was at the mercy of my grandmother’s ride. The woman who picks up the phone is completely miserable every time I had to talk to her she had an attitude there was one nurse who is beyond sweet shorter lady with brown hair she deserves a trophy for working with the lady who answered the phone. I know this is Medicaid and a lot of people don’t have an option like I didn’t but if you do do not choose this doctor!!! Terrible way to run a business and get somebody prepared for a dentist appointment which usually gives people anxiety to begin with. In addition she told me I could not come if I was 15 minutes late and then didn’t even reschedule my appointment to reiterate I had to wait a month for this one that was scheduled and I was only 15 minutes late because I was at the mercy of another ride due to their requirements. Super frustrating to say the least not to mention I still have an abscess and now the infection could go into my bloodstream and that lady could care less she should not be in this business, without putting on a smile no pun intended.
