South Brunswick Charter School is a tuition-free, open enrollment K-5 public charter school near Southport, NC providing a robust, year-round classical curriculum.
We are a replicate school mirroring the programs in place at Charter Day School in Leland and Columbus Charter School in Whiteville. Both of the model schools are widely recognized as compelling choices to conventional public education and have built reputations for retaining dedicated and highly qualified teachers that provide students with a strong and proven academic foundation. We focus on providing a high quality education and a premier performance-driven year round school. We opened in July of 2014 serving K-2 students and will add a grade level each year until we are a fully operational K-5 school.
We are located off of Sunset Harbor Road. This is an easily accessible location 6 miles off of Hwy 17 near Supply and 1 mile off of Hwy 211 between Southport and Supply. We are an easy drive from Supply, Southport, Oak Island, Shallotte, Bolivia, Supply, Sunset Beach, Boiling Spring Lakes, and Holden Beach.

Our understandings of humankind and our universe are expressed and communicated through all of our arts and sciences. Each method of expression - language, painting, music, mathematics, and science - has its rules and techniques for effectively communicating these ideas and understandings.
These rules and techniques are bridges over which ideas must be communicated from one generation to the next.
Thus, the mission of South Brunswick Charter School through The Roger Bacon Academy is, for the next generation:
To teach the rules and techniques for effective expression and communication in the arts and sciences,
To communicate, by these arts and sciences, our understandings of the universe and our role in it, and
To instill a love of learning and discovery, justifying a life-long dedication to health, truth and virtue.
For parents seeking a disciplined, caring classroom environment that emphasizes traditional values and direct instructional methods with students who wish to fulfill high expectations for diligence, discipline, and devotion to seeking knowledge.
