Founded in 1898, the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association (SCFDA) continues to fulfill the mission and vision the organization had from its beginnings. SCFDA sets promotional standards that the public can trust. We continue to provide accurate, up-to-date information about the funeral service profession to members of the public so they have the facts they need to make informed decisions when they plan a funeral.
The SCFDA elects officers annually to serve its members. The organization also employs two staff employees to assist the membership and the public. Today, the organization has grown to more than 500 members, including firm and affiliate members.
