The South King Tool Library provides equal access to tools & training to help maintain neighborhoods, build community & reduce unnecessary consumption.
Opening Summer 2017! The South King Tool Library (SKTL) will be a community not-for-profit organization providing access to tools, equipment and information. The library will be accessible to all residents and organizations within South King County. Fees will be set on a sliding scale, ensuring everyone can afford this resource.
The variety of tools and equipment at our tool library will vary depending upon donations and community needs. Not only does the tool library reduce the cost of the initial purchase, but residents do not have to store, maintain or dispose of bulky tools and equipment.
South King Tool Library will also be a place to get DIY advice and will empower residents to do repairs themselves. Our tool library will be staffed with knowledgeable paid staff and trained volunteers. Over time we will expand to include a makers’ space for workshops, on-site projects and even kids’ camps.
