We are one of the finest campgrounds in Nova Scotia with something for everybody. Theme weekends, daily activities, the largest outdoor pool of any campground in the province are just a few of the things we have to offer. Our close proximity to local farm markets and the Bay of Fundy make us a popular stop for people touring the Annapolis Valley.

Reviews

The map was awful and led us down a very rocky hiking path.  No signs to say "no cars past here"  No apology from the staff, they didn't  care that we got lost and blamed us, as if this was our first ever camping experience.  The bathrooms were disgusting, paid showers, not on their website, also not clean  They did have a lot to do, everything is by payment and it was one of the pricier sites we stayed at.  Crammed in campsites, not a lot of room,  no privacy and difficult to get in and out of.  We will not be back.

Stayed in the cabins for two nights.Enjoyed the campground with my niece n her boys, my  great nephews n my daughter and my grandchildren.Enjoyed the pool, ducks n paddle boats, wagon ride, as I never knew the campground was that big! Of coarse everyone enjoyed the bomb fire at night! Almost forgot to mention our dogs loved their races with each other on the huge grass area adjacent to the cabins.

Great family campground conveniently located in the Valley close to New Minas and Kentville.

South Mountain Park continues to be an awesome location for a couple on a weekend retreat and or the whole family on vacation! The super large outdoor pool is super refreshing with lots of poolside area to bring your own chair Lounge in the Sun and take a dip whenever you want. Water slides bouncy castles pedal boats hayrides basketball courts pool tables arcade games convenience store full showers coin operated laundry beautiful clean bathrooms many outdoor swing sets in multiple locations around the campground new cottages for rental one and two bedroom oh, this place has it all! If this review was of any help, please like it. I will continue to add more. Thank you!

Nice and Quiet mon thru friday as we didn't stay the weekend. Decent pool & campground

My family and I have been to South Mountain several times over the last 8 years. We've always enjoyed our experience there and our kids always left happy. This year we felt we were ready to be seasonal campers and South Mountain was the place we wanted to be. Scott and Kim made that happen for us and we are beyond excited. Hands down the cleanest and best campground for kids, we love it there.

We have been Seasonal campers for 12 years and never have been disappointed. Kim & Scott keep the facilities great as well as adding new fun every year. They also did a great job with looking after campers during the Covid concerns. Highly recommend camping here.  RobService: 5/5

Very Friendly Staff. Went for weekend camping with 8 children ages 4-17 yrs. We did not like our original assigned tent sitetoo wooded, but was easy to explore and choose a different site. lots of room for a couple of tents and park our trailer with gear for such a family size. Lots of activities for the children, but during the COVID-19 time, the wagon rides and swimming pool did not  exist.  I would suggest better signage in the park to easier find the sites, washrooms, play stations, etc. and also on direction of driving. we ended up the the woods trails with our van and trailer trying to find our original tent site. Items in store are very reasonably priced, yet limited variety. We enjoyed our stay in spite of some rain and suggest this as family friendly place to camp with children.

Such a nice campground with lots of fun things for children to do. The new Jungle Gym in the rec hall is awesome. The pool is huge, the soap slide is fun, as is the splash pad. Then there is the jumping pad, 2 playgrounds, tennis courts, archery, paddle boats, bubble soccer, chocolate bar bingo and other activities that the campers association put on. There is never a dull moment. They even have two beautiful new cottages this season that accommodate families of 5. A great family vacation destination.

This campground is fine if you have a seasonal spot. If you are a weekend camper and have kids, expect them to bebullied by the kids of the seasonal campers.  We have camped here for years but it's progressively gotten worse.  This may be the last time we come here.
