I have lived in VT, MA, MT, and the Greater Seattle area and this is one of the BEST post offices I have ever experienced. My husband and I moved from the West-side of WA into a new development. The packages and mail continued to get hung up due to “address unknown”. The employees working the desk, helped me understand what I needed to do to get my mail delivered and they communicated with the drivers to ensure delivery to the mail box as well. They spoke to me with a kind non-condescending tone and treated me as though I was a great friend. In my time working with anyone at the front desk, they all have the same professionalism. The employees at the South Hill post office by far supersede any other post office in the above mentioned states. Thank you South Hill for what you do and continue to do! I appreciate you!
The worst post office I've experienced. One package stated it was handed off directly, but that was a lie. Another package stated it was delivered on my doorstep, which was another lie. Both were found on my neighbor's doorstep, who luckily for me is seemingly never home & doesn't answer his door, ever. What is wrong with you people? The labels clearly state my address, as Unit #2, but you continuously send them to Unit #1, then lie & be dishonest about handing them off to the proper recipient. I hate that I have to use your service & I have filed a complaint. Your service is poor & I wish I could leave 0 stars & have you fired.
Yet again this post office said they delivered my package. I was home all day. It was never delivered. They stole around $160 worth of items awhile ago. Just disappeared. My tracking says it's still at their post office but they can't find it so screw the customer. Was out that and now am apparently out almost a hundred with this package that wasn't delivered. Am getting tired of getting stiffed by your employees. It's getting really expensive. Edited review 2 months later. Thought we got things straightened out but nope. Just yesterday I waited all day Sunday for a scheduled package drop. They never showed and sent my package back without even an attempt at delivery. Shows in my texts out for delivery. Next text it's just shipped back to the company. Absolutely no attempt to deliver anything. So again giving them a MINUS 10 as it will never change. EVER.
My mail delivery person is the best! He goes the extra distance every time. In this world where horrible customer service is the norm in most cases, anyway, it is nice to deal with people who care.
Most horrible customer service and the slowest post office I’ve ever been to, 11 people in line and only one person working, this place made me late for work today, I’ll never come here again
This is the worst post office. The mail carrier, Robert Mitchell, has decided not to deliver my packages. I have talked to one of the managers but nothing has been done about him. Don't try to call because no one will answer the phone. ROBERT MITCHELL strikes again. Totally incompetent, rude and lazy, but he still has a job.
The lines can get pretty long, but I'd blame congress before blaming anyone at this location. I've always had good interactions with the staff and the place is clean.
Husband tried to pick up package that was for some reason being held there. I read on the USPS site that a note was needed to allow someone else to pick up a package for you, either a pink slip or just a simple note on paper. I wrote the note because I wasn’t left a pink slip. He showed them the note and the guy tells him he can’t give him the package because he needs a signed pink slip. Employee doesn’t know the USPS rules, frustrating and a waste of everyone’s time.
We have lived here for two short months, in this time, we have had dozens of issues, they never deliver packages, regardless of whether there's room in the mailbox, we have 4 parcel lockers at my apartment complex and I have never seen them use one of them. Sometimes they leave a slip, sometimes they don't. They never knock on your door or make any real attempt to deliver. They mark packages as out for delivery, and then 2 hours later mark them as unable to deliver, even though the truck hasn't come yet. They clearly are not even trying, and this causes me to have to wait several days for them to be available for pickup. This has happened twice now with my prescription medication, and I keep running dangerously close to running out of meds because of this. Every time we go to the post office, there is a line just for the pickup counter, which is fine, it happens, we get it. We have dealt with several employees at this counter, and all of them struggle to find the packages that we came to get. Every time, we've had trouble with one or more packages, every time, they claim they can't be found, we proceed to file a missing mail request, and they magically find it a few days later. I understand things are hard right now, the pandemic means we have an unprecedented volume of mail, and the holidays are approaching, but we had less issues at our previous post office, which was handling mail for an entire county, meanwhile this is just one zip code. Please, we just want our mail.
They are not very attentive here. I was there on a busy evening and a worker said if you have packages to pick up, to come to her window. The man in front of me was helped, and then I stood there for a while and she never came back. The other line had gotten so long. I asked the man working if anyone was going to help me. His response was that no one was coming back to the pickup desk. And didn’t seem to be paying me or the line behind me any attention whatsoever. After embarrassingly asking them to allow me to skip the line, they told me they lost my package. They left a slip in my mail box with a note saying I had another 5 days to come get my package. But sadly it was no where to be found. I left so unhappy. I never want to go to this location again.
