The worst school my son has ever been to. Alot of people are collecting checks here and thats it. Starting with the face of the school when you walk through the door. Kelly acts like she had a bunch of prisoners and she will be shanked at any time . Never a warm greeting, never a smile and never helpful. Staring people down and being rude is not a skill nor a defense for a so called hard job. Academically, my son did horrible the entire year while I did everything possible to help my son at home. While he had an F in almost every class, his science teacher bless his heart was the only one that even cared about my son period. I couldn't tell if he was ever doing good in math until it was too late. They let them do whatever they want and then take a test. Once you fail the test that is when you know they dont get it. Up until that point there is no intervention. The test is over now moving on. No way to catch this before hand. And this is suppose to be some new age way of teaching. My son is not a prisoner nor is he grown enough to have this type of freedom in 6th grade. Sorry epic fail. My son went from a wonderful previous school year with healthy relationships with the entire school to fifhting and not caring about anything at all. I even expressed that I was just simply going to consider this a daycare to a lady on the phone one day because my son has slipped through every crack....she was apologetic but never pressed the issue to make sure someone addressed my issues. My son doesn't love school and he can be lazy just like alot of kids but the total negligence and willingness to just ignore the fact that he is failing is disgusting. The only thing I noticed in tact was detention and suspension. Behavior is not tolerated and rolling arnd on the ground in a hallway with some other kids after school is addressed but never mind he is failing. And the warden kelly let me know you cant even walk into the office and speak to anyone without an appointment. Not even if she lets the office know I am there and just want to ask a question. Wow. Like I said ...a prison.
Sorry South Saint Paul- its a rap wit SSP. All around No Change, will keep becoming the worst school ever. Some teachers want our students to learn truly but all the rest just need that income to try and make enda meet. Lots of drugs, bad behavior from students and teachers, no disciple what so ever and the saddest part ever is that half the kids their including teachers are dumbasses. This school is done for they can't and don't care about anything especially our kids Education. Less education more prison yard type bs .from what my kid tells me teachers and kids can get away with bullying and more without a parent knowing about a situation for days! Lmao a joke and I actually feel bad bc I had liked this school
