For 75 years now, the members of the South Salem FD have been serving their district in Lewisboro in many ways. Most obvious, protecting those when needed against fire, car accidents, and other various tasks. But prevention is the first method of fighting, so the members are also dedicated to educating the town, from toddlers to seniors, on fire prevention in all aspects of your life. The department knows how to have a good time as well though, having monthly members breakfasts, a family picnic, and of course the annual parade and carnival.
