South Shore Audio Video Installation was founded by Kirk Hobbs. Kirk has 30 years experience in the field of custom installation. Kirk originates from Austin, Texas. He spent 17 years in Southern California during which time he operated a successful audio/video/telecommunications installation business. After relocating to Massachusetts he was employed as the Field Supervisor of custom installations in the Metro Boston area by Tweeter,Inc for several years. He knows what it takes to fulfill a customer's expectations.

SSAVI is founded on the concept of true customer service. That's our promise. We bring quality, dependable service at affordable prices to the custom installation business. We are, by choice, a small business. We pride ourselves on complete customer satisfaction. As owner and general manager Kirk will be involved in every transaction.

Great to work with Kirk and the team for some wifi and AV upgrades in our house. Very professional and really knows his stuff!
Big thanks to Kirk and the team as SSAVI! We wanted to have a TV and sound bar mounted above the fireplace in our new home. SSAVI are pros and made the whole process easy. Kirk went out of his way to let me he had a cancellation and were available to get our job done earlier than expected and ahead of our move-in date, which we really appreciated. The mount looks terrific. Would highly recommend!
LADIES & GENTLEMEN, IF YOU DO ONE THING IN LIFE, LET IT BE HIRING SSAV! They have returned sanity and fun back into my family! Years ago we had a system put in our home by another company now gone and every thing had become OLD! We couldn't even play a DVD without using 5 remotes! Even the radio wasn't working, never mind being able to play music through Spotify or Pandora which wasn't even an option! One call to SSAV saved us! Not only were they professional and made sure I was happy with EVERYTHING, but they took the time to sit down with my parents how to use the new updated system.It took all of 5 minutes for them to learn! In todays world, companies will look to sell you everything you don't need. Instead SSAV made simple updates that changed our entire lives. Even my parents who are in their 70's say the system is EASY TO USE. We went from 5 remotes to 1 REMOTE...and the best part.. YOU CAN'T SCREW IT UP! No more having to pull out manuals on how to turn on Netflix or listen to music.. You just push the very clearly labeled button on the amazing remote! We no longer get frustrated, instead we are able to watch a movie as a family and enjoy it! I gave this as a gift to my family for Christmas, and highly recommend you all do the same. It's a lot better than another gift card or pair of slippers that won't get use! simply put... LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE! SSAV IS UNLIKE ANY OTHER! SERVICE WITH A SMILE AND FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY! I recently had a flat screen television mounted in my living room. The job was somewhat complex in my opinion because it involved moving the location of an existing outlet. They also installed a surge protector and a shelf on the side of my mantle for the cable box. The work was done beautifully and very professionally. Kirk and his guys did a great job. Kirk was also a consummate professional and he delivered his services as promised, on time and on budget. If you are looking to for Audio Video services, SSAVI is the place to go!!
Kirk and SSAVI are awesome! All we had to do was send them some pictures, measurements, and model number and they were able to put together a quote! We know nothing about TV mounting and how being in an apartment may influence the process, Kirk took care of everything and even sent us a link for a cabinet he thinks we could use! Literally minimal effort on our part! We were also looking for a soundbar and Kirk was so patient going through all the different options and features with us we ended up with the sonos soundbar!. Additionally we changed our minds about where and how many and what brand of TVs we wanted to mount no less than three times. Each time Kirk was super nice and accommodating! The day of the install the crew even came out super early to accommodate our work schedule, made sure to get our input before each install, and cleaned up after themselves! They showed us exactly how to use our equipment before they left. We will never use anybody else for any future work! We love Kirk and SSAVI! THANK YOU GUYS!!
Recommend! We got three quotes. Kirk was the fastest to respond and spent the right amount of time with us understanding our needs and explaining options and ideas. He took the time to look at our existing sound system and didn't try to up-sell us - said we could keep our existing ceiling speakers. When we decided on a plan, Kirk explained why he selected each component. Great answers, very patient and did great work. The team was neat, thoughtful and professional - very little mess from removing drywall to move the location of existing speakers and to install a subwoofer. We also needed electrical work and his recommendation was competitively priced and also did great work.
I had a half installed home theater, I spoke with Kirk, a couple weeks later the SSAVI guys showed up to my house and finished installing the system. They were great. They were very clean about cutting holes in the newly painted wall. They hooked up my system very quickly and everything works great off 1 remote!
