South Suburban Women's Center has been providing comprehensive, family oriented obstetric and gynecologic care to the greater Cleveland area for more than twenty years. Board certified OB/GYNs, Dr. John Farinacci, Dr. William Grossman, and Dr. Jeanne Knotek, bring together a history of proven expertise in a personalized environment.
Obstetric services remain the cornerstone of our practice. We perform diagnostic tests including ultrasound, first trimester screening for fetal chromosomal abnormalities and amniocentesis. SSWC also provides compassionate care across the continuum of womens’ reproductive health. Treatments include contraceptive care, infertility evaluation and treatment, preconception counseling, and control of “unmanageable” bleeding. Endometrial ablations, hysteroscopic tubal sterilizations, and diagnostic hysteroscopy are performed in the office, obviating the need for hospitalization. We also treat symptoms of menopause, osteoporosis, and we perform continued screening for gynecologic malignancies and breast cancer. SSWC is affiliated with UH and CCF.
South Suburban Women’s Center remains an independent Ob/Gyn practice. This is becoming an increasingly uncommon situation in the Cleveland health market. Importantly, while we are not owned by an organization or hospital system, we do have privileges at, and admit patients to, hospitals within both the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals health systems. This allows us to best serve the individual needs of our patients, without being restricted to where we can practice, and which physicians we can refer to. Throughout this website, we may often refer to the advantages (both financial, and in terms of service provided) of being seen by our independent doctors. We encourage you to discuss these issues with our office staff and physicians.
Additionally, we feel it is important for you to maintain a relationship with your family physician or internist for non-gynecological health concerns. We work closely with your primary care provider to coordinate the best care possible. If you do not have a family physician or internist, we would be happy to provide suggestions or referrals to meet your needs.
