The Southeast Bullitt Fire Department was established in 1979. Southeast Bullitt Fire Department is located in Bullitt County, KY and serves the citizens of the Southeast Bullitt Fire Protection District and it's surrounding areas through mutual aid.
The Southeast Bullitt Fire Department is a combination department, meaning it is staffed by both career and volunteer firefighters. The department currently has four full time staff consisting of an administrative assistant, the Fire Chief, a Major (Bn Chief), a Lieutenant, and a Sergeant. We have six part time staff members consisting of a Lieutenant, two Sergeants, and three Firefighters. Finally, we have approximately 40 highly dedicated volunteers that, along with the career staff, respond to all types of emergencies 24 hours a day to protect the lives and properties of the citizens in Bullitt County.
The Southeast Bullitt Fire Protection District covers approximately 90 square miles of Bullitt County.

To SUPPORT at any time when called, our brother and sister firefighters in the five other fire departments (Zoneton, Shepherdsville, Mt. Washington, Lebanon Junction, and Nichols) in Bullitt County and Nelson County (Bardstown) areas.
