Southern Dental Associates

This place is a straight up scam. I went in for a routine cleaning and 2 hours later after talking to four different associates was told I needed a deep clean and with insurance the cost would be $900. I also received an estimate for several others things that were way over priced. They refused to do the cleaning as their diagnosis was a deep clean. Two hours wasted. la Keisha was great. Find a better place to work. You seem the only honest one there.

I have been customer for over 10 years. They have been great. I miss one Saturday appointment and the new office manager says I'm "being punished", so no Saturday appointments ever again. What?! Are we in kindergarten? I cannot believe this lady has a job. Fortunately after I explained I am out of town every week all week, and I have to use my Saturday at home for appointments, she didn't seem to care. Just her point of view. Speaking to me like a child. Her name is Samantha and if I heard her conversation with me I would fire her on the spot. Totally, completely unprofessional. I have always dealt with great people there. Shame they have installed this person who has no clue about customer service in an area that is more sensitive to that than other businesses.

The office staff is wonderful. They made me feel like I have known them for a very long time. I’m so happy with the results. I can smile and not be self conscious about my teeth. I would recommend this location and Dr. Ravari he is the best, very easy to talk to. I have never enjoyed going to the dentist, but I don’t mind coming to see him and his staff.

Very disappointing experience. I was called in early and it took 2 hours just to get my teeth partially cleaned. I was told that I could not get a regular cleaning which would have been covered 100% by my insurance. I was charged $240 for the service that they said I needed. When the hygienist finally got back to me it took about 7 minutes to perform the $240 advanced cleaning that she said I must have. I was told that I would have to come back in a month to complete the cleaning and pay another $60. I feel cheated and lied to so that they could charge me for what should have been 0.00 charge. I’m so sad that Southern Dental at Deerbrook treats their patients in such a way. How sad.

I haven’t been to this dentist. But I wanted to know if they offer payment plans for work? I need a lot of work done and trying to find something that is in my price range.

Update: one year later and Dr. Barton remains on of the best dentists in greater Houston area. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. The clinic is very clean, using the most up to date technology. My dentist is Dr. Barton. He is very knowledgeable very thorough and extremely professional. I have been seeing Dr. Barton for some 15 years and have never been disappointed in his diagnosis nor his treatment. Even though we have moved to the west side of town I still make the drive to this clinic and it is because of Dr. Barton. I posted the above review several years ago and nothing has changed. In my opinion Dr. Barton remains one of the most outstanding dentists in the greater Houston area.

For those of you unsure of where to go for dental care. "This is the place!!".. If you're looking to have a great experience without all the stress that one usually have to deal with in dental offices. You won't be disappointed coming to this location. Just thought my experience would help someone trying to choose a place to come for their dental care. God Bless

Do not use this dentist! Total rip-off. I have the best insurance BCBS high and this place is not in network. Paid $5K for implant that after two separate surgeries would not hold so was talked into accepting a bridge. After filing down both teeth to the nerve, bridge was installed. Still having nerve sensitivity probably forever . Now getting charged for Periodontal Maintenance for routine cleanings. When I questioned charges was told BCBS told them the payments had been sent to me! What a joke! Total rip-off, stay away

Front desk is awesome. Astrid was very nice and helpful with making my family appointments. Dr Barton is very informative and so was Lakisha. She did a very good job explaining my gum treatment and just made me feel good. The money lady Mrs panny was very nice and helped me with a payment option. Love that they have something for everyone.
