Updated for dinner: Better service than at lunch and still solid quality food. Included pictures were taken half way through eating so they don’t reflect the full portion sizes. Solid food overall and a very good price for what you actually get especially at lunch. The only reason that I have 4/5 was slow service at lunch, specifically waiting 10-15 minutes for the receipt.

** used to be the best in the boro for Chinese. It was sold to new owners and now has went way downhill.. unfortunately will be looking for a new Chinese place. DELICIOUS!! Just moved to statesboro and this will be my go-to for chinese food now. Tried lucky garden and wasn't impressed. Searched for other chinese restaurants and this one came up, I love that they have their own website with clear pictures of the menu. The food was amazing. Got curry chicken and general tso for lunch amd portions were great and everything was hot and fresh. Definitely check it out! We will be back frequently!!

Southern Palace is takeout only since the beginning of the covid pandemic. I have their number in my cell phone so I call in my order and pick it up in the drive through. The food is good and usually it's no more than 15 minutes from order to driving away with my food. If I arrive and it's not ready, I park in a parking space to the side after paying at the drive through and when Ms. Han waves at me from the window, I walk over and pick it up. My Chinese girlfriend likes the food as well. I'd say that since it's a drive through, it's wheelchair accessible. As for atmosphere, the parking lot is nice and being in your vehicle is pretty private if you want to cuddle a companion or two. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian menu items such as tofu dishes.

don’t look any further this is the best Chinese food in statesboro. the 5 flavor chicken is a game changer. Parking: plenty of parking

I spent $24 on doordash. The food was fresh but it smelt and tasted off. General tso chicken flavorless. I literally spit the eggroll out and the rice was bland. Made myself a plate because the portions are alot but flavorless. Meat and rice are also mushy. I live 5 mins away from this place.Disappointed is an understatement

This was my first and last time here. I ordered sesame chicken and fried rice. I went home and started eating and noticed there was a hair in my food. The hair clearly didn’t belong to me because it was straight and I have curly hair. Not only that, but it was buried deep under the chicken. I went back there to get my money back and the woman tried to deny the fact that it belonged to someone there and basically tried to say that it belonged to me. The only good thing I can say is that I got my money back. I will not be returning here.

Statesboro local here- LOVED this place growing up then moved away for an awhile and now that I’m back, it’s still the best Chinese cuisine in town!! Massive food proportions, wonderful flavor combinations, and very fast service. I typically get general tso’s chicken;l: it has a spicy kick that I crave regularly! I always recommend Southern Palace when I’m asked. 10/10!!

FORGET any other chinese takeout place in statesboro. Come to Southern Palace. The old couple that run the place here will serve you great food at a great price. They are very sweet and clearly have passion for what they do in the kitchen. The meat portions are VERY generous, the sauces are wonderful, and the prices are great for what you get. Compared to the rest of the competition in Statesboro? They win by a landslide. : Dietary restrictions: There is a weight watchers menu that serves steamed rice, meats, and veggies

Pretty good food and usually kind people… but yesterday, I went by to pick up my order, and she told me my card wouldn’t work, so I gave her cash. I then realized that it did take it off my card. I showed her where it was taken off of my card, and she claimed that it didn’t go through and would not give me my cash back…
