What makes us different
This is our business. We a locally owned and operated – based in Canton GA. Since 2006 we have installed about 1000 roofs in the Metro Atlanta area. We are not out of work contractors or tradesman looking to survive until the economy picks up.

We are also a ladder assist vendor for Allstate insurance company. We have assisted in over 5000 roof inspections with Allstate since 2008. We know what real damage looks like. We will tell you the truth about your roof damage.

We promise you a quality installed roof-using quality materials installed by a professional roofing crew. There are numerous new roofing contractors that promise no out of pocket expense and free everything. Upgrades cost money; the only place to cut costs is to use “cheap” uninsured labor. We complete most houses in just 2 days – most in one day.

We are licensed and insured. Our crews carry general liability and worker comp insurance.

We understand the insurance process. We do not practice nor endorse fraudulent sales techniques.

We are mainly a referral business. We don’t spend thousands of dollars a month to advertise (2 page ads in the phone book cost up to $8000/month) or have a fleet of trucks. We pay you $100 for referrals that lead to sales!

We will ask you what you want and expect out of your new roof. We will do a thorough inspection of your present roof and ventilation system. We will recommend solutions; you select the solution that fits your budget.

We stand behind our work and offer a 5-year workmanship warranty. We conduct quality assurance inspections after the roof has sustained severe weather.

We will offer solar solutions for both commercial and residential properties.

Our crews:

Place tarps around the house.
Utilize approved safety techniques.
Move fragile objects away from the work area.
Do not use toe boards in re-shingling a roof.
Re-flash all valleys.
Repair any damaged flashing.
Recommend replacing plastic plumbing boot pipes with Perma Boots or lead boot pipes.
Complete work in one or two days – weather permitting.
Clean up and walk the area with magnets to pick up metal nails, etc
Utilize Manufacture’s Roofing Systems

Here is What We Don’t Do

We don’t take any money before the roof is on your house!

We don’t force you to sign any “pre work authorization”.

We don’t do shoddy work by using unskilled labor.

We don’t promise you everything for nothing – upgrades and quality do have a cost. In most cases we will discount the upgrades by your deductible.

We don’t invent damage on your roof.

We don’t use pressure tactics to “get the deal” – our reputation and quality work have enabled us to roof over 1000 houses in north Georgia.

We don’t minimize our crews and take a long time to do your roof. Most jobs are completed in one day!

We don’t do the job and forget you. We conduct a Quality Assurance Inspection immediately after the job and months after the job is done to ensure that the quality is still there.

We don’t take our responsibilities lightly. We earn your trust and provide you a safe, quality-installed roof, using great materials and superior labor.

Basic Insurance Terms

Replacement Cost Value (RCV)
Most homeowner insurance policies are “replacement cost” policies. The replacement cost value (RCV) is the amount of money the insurance company has determined that will repair or replace your loss. The replacement cost value is designed to repair or make new your loss by replacing “same for same”. (Three tab shingles for three tab shingles, etc)

INSURANCE COMPANIES KNOW WHAT IT COSTS TO REPLACE YOUR ROOF AND REPAIR RELATED DAMAGES.
This is their business; in fact, they often attempt to minimize their claim payouts. That is the reason most insurance companies request that the policyholder show the repair or loss summary to a qualified roofing company to make sure all repairs are addressed.

Deductible
Your deductible is essentially the amount of risk you, as the policyholder, decided to own (per claim). It is your portion of the loss or replacement cost.

Depreciation
There are two type of depreciation: recoverable and non-recoverable.
In the simplest of terms, recoverable depreciation is the amount of money being held back by the insurance company until they receive proof that your damaged property has been repaired.

The proof is an invoice for at least the amount of the Replacement Cost Value (RCV).
If you submit an invoice for less than the RCV, the insurance company will deduct the difference from the depreciation check. (We will replace your roof for the replacement cost value that your insurance company assesses.)

Non-Recoverable depreciation is an amount that represents the current value (prorated value) of your damaged property. I.e. if you have a 20-year roof, and it is ten years old, the depreciation amount would be 50% of the original value of the roof. Each insurance company has a different formula to determine this type of depreciation. In the end, non-recoverable depreciation is the amount of money you will never recover from the insurance company.

Actual Cash Value (ACV)
In simplest terms, ACV is:
Replacement Cost Value – Depreciation = Actual Cash Value

Initial Award
Your initial award or check will be:
Actual Cash Value – Deductible

Final Award
Your final check will be for the amount of recoverable depreciation, based on a true invoice totaling an amount equal to or greater than the RCV. This invoice is for the replacement of your roof. You pay for the additional amount greater than the RCV; these may be for shingle or ventilation upgrades.
How much will this cost?
What about my deductible? The roofer said he would take care of it.

All the other roofing companies told me that I would pay nothing out of my pocket.

They said they would take care of all the special paperwork.

Sounds too good to be true! Well, often times it is true and can lead to fraud. Submitting paperwork that does not reflect the true cost of the work performed is fraud.

In the simplest terms, fraud occurs when someone knowingly lies to obtain benefit or advantage or to cause some benefit that is due to be denied. Make sure the invoice you submit to the insurance company is a true reflection of the cost and work done. Anyone can report insurance fraud.

The following information is from the Georgia Insurance Information Service.
What is insurance fraud? Insurance fraud is an attempt to obtain money from insurance companies by arranging a loss or accident or falsifying information on applications for insurance claims. Fraud can range from large, organized operations involving hundreds of thousands of dollars to an otherwise honest individual who overstates a legitimate claim.

What is the penalty for being found guilty of insurance fraud? In most of its forms, insurance fraud is a felony. When caught, prosecuted and found guilty, most fraud perpetrators are required to make restitution and jail time is also commonly imposed.

What are the most common types of fraud cases? Insurance fraud can be divided into three categories:
False claims for injuries
Arson for profit
False or intentional auto theft and physical damage
What is the insurance industry doing to reduce fraud? The insurance industry is committed to reducing fraud by teaching claims professionals how to recognize suspicious claims and work with law enforcement and fire services. Insurance companies have units trained to investigate fraud.

What can citizens do to reduce fraud?
People who want to fight back against this crime should contact the following:
Georgia Department Of Insurance, 404-656-2060,
The Department's Insurance Fraud Hotline 1-800-726-6070,
The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) toll-free at 1-800-TEL-NICB to report fraudulent acts,
The Georgia Arson Control Program at 1-800-282-5804 to report deliberately-set fires.
Callers may be eligible for rewards of up to $10,000 from Georgia Arson Control if their information leads to arrests and convictions of arsonists.

What effect does fraud have on the average policyholder? The insurance industry estimates the size of insurance fraud to be about 10-15 percent of the premium dollar. This puts the yearly costs at an estimated $18 billion nationally. As fraud is reduced or eliminated, claims costs can be lowered and those savings can be passed on to policyholders.

Preparing For Your New Roof

Delivery of materials. The day the material and dumpster are scheduled to be delivered, please make sure cars are out of the garage and parked on the street.
Pre-Installation of your new roof. With nails and shingles on the ground, please keep children and pets away form the work area. If there is any outside deck furniture, please move it away from the house to avoid any damage. We will be as careful as possible with plants, but material may slip into some outdoor plants. Inside your house, make sure to take down any valuable items that could fall due to the vibration of the hammering. The constant hammering may result in sheetrock getting ‘nail pops’. This is due to sheetrock not being screwed in.
Installation of your new roof. Beginning early on the day of your installation, there will be a lot of noise. If rain is in the forecast, the crew will carefully tear off only small portions of the roof so as not to expose it in case of rain. Part of installation includes cleaning out your gutters. Again, please make sure cars are out on the street to avoid any roofing material and flat tires from nails in the driveway
After your new roof is installed, there will be a lot roofing materials on the ground including nails. Once we complete the roof, we will conduct a very thorough cleaning with magnets. However, it is almost impossible to get every nail. Watch the downspouts after the next rainstorm and pick up any leftover nails. All leftover material and dumpster will be removed from your property as soon as possible upon completing the project, usually the next day. Be aware that there may be nails left where the dumpster was placed.

**The crew will need electrical power outside, please call your salesmen if your exterior outlets do not work.
** If your house has a satellite dish installed, we will carefully remove and reinstall it. However, we cannot guarantee it will be aligned. Please contact your provider to re-align the dish.
Enjoy your new roof. Make sure and let us know if you have any questions, as we would be happy to help.
