I had liver and onions with mashed potatoes and cabbage. Liver was burnt. Bacon was half raw. Mashed potatoes were an ice cold blob with hot gravy on it. Maybe the other food is better but not this. Waiter never even came over to ask about the food or if I needed a refill.Food: 1/5
Great food, friendly service, big portions, and prices that don’t break the bank.Everything is extremely clean too. I’ve been past here numerous, but have never stopped in until today, and I’m sure glad I finally did. I’ll definitely be back.
Excellent service, great food. Definitely very southern and great portions. The country fried steak was great and giant. Pleasant environment and family restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp
Real good breakfasts, always crowded on the weekends because of the quality show up early! Traditional southern fried chicken always a hit here. Service can be spotty due to there crowd size.Food: 5/5
For those who crave down home southern style cooking, this is the place for you. Prices are high, but the portion sizes are typical southern size, huge. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming. There is outdoor seating and limited indoor seating, so you may have to wait to get inside. Service was lacking for refills or anything after you get food, but it may have been due to a decent size crowd that kept people busy turning tables for new patrons. They are happy to get what you need when you are able to get their attention. The potatoes lacked spices, but the rest of the meals were worth the trip. The Grits were served hot and fresh, not old and cold as many places neglect them to such condition. The gravy adds a lot to the omelets, but a small side is two and a half bucks, which is a bit much for a small bowl. If you have the money, I recommend trying the combination. Bathrooms are clean, as was the interior. They pay attention to small details such as soft butter, making the meal better I hate trying to spread frozen butter cubes. If you are nearby and want a comfort breakfast, make the time to stop by and enjoy. Parking: Limited parking on dirt. Bikers need to find hard spots to park, which support kick stands. Bring a hard plate to put under the kick stand if you end up on dirt. I used a concrete parking area of the neighbor to park, but it was early morning, and the other business was closed. Two other bikers parked on the sidewalk out front, but I beg you not to be that rude to pedestrians.
Since moving into Grand Reserve/Bunnell I’m always on the prowl for great food. There are a lot of “southern style “restaurants locally and Southern Table has been on my list. I found the restaurant to be a pleasant atmosphere and the staff was extremely friendly even though I was picking up my food. I ordered their two piece dark chicken dinner and asked for two thighs, not the traditional leg/thigh combo. They never hesitated to accommodate my request. Equally impressive was my request for a chicken fried chicken dinner, which is not on the menu and almost always confused with chicken fried steak. The food was generally good…nicely breaded and fried with almost no grease means their oil is clean, probably changed daily and the sides of fried okra,Mac n cheese and stuffingcalled daily? were all good as well. White gravy for my chicken fried chicken was a nice consistency with a hint of mushrooms. My only suggestion was this chicken should be pounded flat presenting a larger portion. They used their standard sandwich portion size instead. Overall a recommended destination. Great staff, large selection of menu items and all day breakfast…yum. Steve
It was good. Very good. Tasted like home made. I’ve been looking for some good fried chicken for a while now. I will definitely go back. The catfish was very good also. Just all in all a fairly priced nice little restaurant with great food.
What a great little cozy restaurant with the best staff and amazing food. Huge helpings, and a huge menu. You are sure to find something you are going to love. Michael was our server and was so awesome. We will certainly return here again soon. Parking: Note their is parking on either side of the restaurant. One side has four or five spots, but the other side has plenty of parking.
We had amazing service again today and the food was excellent. A perfect place to go and enjoy great food. Finding out that it is a local family owned restaurant makes us want to go back more frequently. Kudos to the owners for doing such an awesome job!Food: 5/5
Very good food. The girls loved the BLT and veggie plate. Chocolate chip pancakes a full breakfast plate were done perfect. Staff was nice. Definitely be back
