Southern Tier Physical Therapy of Binghamton originally opened as a satellite office to our Vestal clinic on July 1,1991 with one Physical Therapist in a 1,400 sq ft. facility. We have since grown into a therapist-owned and operated clinic that includes a total of 11 therapists (4 PT's and 7 PTA's) in a 6,000 sq ft. facility conveniently located to Binghamton's West Side and downtown.
Our diverse team of therapists use a hands-on approach to treat patients ranging in ages from infants to adult seniors. Our specialties include, but are not limited to: orthopedic sports and running injuries, neck and back spinal rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, vertigo and balance disorders, TMJ, and pediatrics (orthopedics, torticollis, plagiocephaly, etc.). We are also one of the only clinics in the area to offer both women's and men's health services (pre/post-natal treatment, breast cancer rehabilitation, lymphatic decongestive therapy, bowel and bladder dysfunction, incontinence, pelvic pain and status/post prostatectomy).
We offer one-on-one care and individualized treatment plans for each patient by using innovative, progressive techniques with an emphasis on manual therapy. This is supplemented with therapeutic exercises and the utilization of conventional modalities (ie. ultrasound, traction, interferential stimulation, muscle re-education). We also make sure that our patients are educated on their treatment and progress every step of the way to allow for eventual self-management and prevention of pain beyond the walls of our clinic.
