Southfield Public Library

This place is beautiful I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Its absolutely huge 3 floors very updated tons of space if you just want to read or go with the kid’s they have a really nice and relaxing garden the place is quiet if you just want to study or something the staff are always kind and helpful prob the best library I’ve ever been too!!

OMG my library in Southfield is so relaxing yet encouraging. It's a place where dreams come true and ideas and goals I put to the test in the pages of a book! Books to look up anything you desire for your goals and dreams. Or to sit back and relax go experience an adventure with a encouraging, relaxing,or exciting book, tree houses for quiet reading in a hollow tree, a sleeping dragon and a large throne for your Majesty to relax. Discover stories of old and new, some fiction and some true. Also the ladies at the front desk and Shori were absolutely awesome and helpful with my new library card. Thank you Southfield public library! You Totally Rock

This library has most inconvenience hours. This is a public service and they are not really for the community with the most slim hours - especially for families. It's shame the people who pay the outrageous taxes, don't demand better service in general this is also evident in the terrible roads, outside-ironically, the city's center, ie. the library and court.

A library I love dearly, and remember when the building was remodeled to the current version! I enjoy using the online resources alongside their physical collection. With this library card I have access to Mango language learning app and 2 different audio/ebook apps I use daily!

Very bad energy there. Spent hours working on a project. Stepped away for a few minutes to take a phone call and upon my return their computer rebooted and erased all my work!!! No one deserves that. Library felt they were doing me a favor because my privacy was protected. Have signs warning about how your computers are programmed to delete people's stuff!!!

I love this place, the children's room is amazing. They have a tree where the children can go into the trunk, sit and read books. There are computers, tables that have activities for toddlers, and a sleeping Dragon who snores. Puppet play area. So many books magazines DVDs and music CDs. There is a teen area. The adult area is awesome with two floors, books magazines, newspapers, DVDs, audiobooks, music CDs and I've only scratch the surface of the resources available. There are study rooms Community rooms a bookstore with a small snack area. Just an absolutely beautiful facility.

I am so happy that I am a member of this Library and a resident of Southfield. This is probably the best Library and books were abundant. You'll never run out of sources. Staff were so helpful in attending to your inquiries. They have a Kiosk booth that will help you with your self checkout of your books, DVDs, CDs, etc. Internet access is readily available for residents. Great Architecture of the building. I highly recommend this place

Happy that such a nice library is present in Southfield. It is managed very well and they have a very good kids' section. Only big downside is that it doesn't have flexible hours.

Stunning building beautiful people young and old. Extremely knowledgeable staff. Kind polite and courteous. The best work spaces, meeting spaces and conference rooms.

Attended the Southfield Public Library monthly "Jazz and Blues" night sponsored by the Friends of Southfield Public Library and the Detroit Blues Society; Zoom was the performer tonight and her performance was entertaining. Had a great time, great music and positive energy.
