SouthGroup Insurance Services-Yazoo Insurance Agency is the combination of three established agencies over the years: McGraw Insurance Agency (founded 1971) merged with Yazoo Insurance Agency (founded 1973) in 1995, which then acquired Barnwell & Barbour Agency (founded 1899) in 2002. Our office is located at 105 S. Main Street in historic downtown Yazoo City, MS, just off the intersection of Broadway and Main Street.
We are supporters of various youth, academic and cultural programs in Yazoo County, and remain involved in community projects and organizations. Our Agency principals are members of the Professional Insurance Agents of Mississippi and the Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi.
Our branch promotes and supports professionalism and job excellence in our staff through education, with most of our staff holding the designations of CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), CLU (Certified Life Underwriter) or ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant). Continuing Education allows us to deliver a higher level of customer service.
We offer most lines of business and personal insurance, including but not limited to Agri-Business, Business Auto, contractors, construction and artisans, municipalities, educational and public entities, Workers Compensation, General Liability, Employee Benefits, Home, Auto, Life, IRA, and Medical and Medicare Supplement plans.
