We are traveling for 5 months in our camper, found this on Google, while its an older rv park and spots are close, its clean, quiet, bathroom is stocked, my dog is welcome. Shower is clean and the water hot, pressure is lacking, but reasonable. Nice laundry. Lack of picnic table and fire rings but again, we have our own.
We are leaving the campgrounds today. We were here for the weekend. It was the most peaceful place I have been to. We have a 10 year old son and a 14 year old daughter and they did not complain one bit. They staff was very friendly and interactive with my son. It was just a great place with friendly people. If you are looking for a quiet getaway I recommend this campground.
The Christmas decorations were amazing. The dried out lake was sad. I hope the lake recovers for future visits. I can imagine this place rocks during the busy season when all the regulars are there.
We stayed here during a recent trip to Knoxville. They were very accommodating when we called on short notice. However, the roads are very rough and full of potholes and the sites are not level. I was able to back in ok but the sites are narrow and tight. Probably 80% of the spots are "seasonal" aka permanent so it resembles a trailer park more than an RV park. The power went out while we were there, but it was not their fault. A tree had fallen on the power lines in a nearby neighborhood. When I walked to the office to inquire, she lady was a bit rude and just said, "They're working in the line over there. We're all out just like you" like I was supposed to know. There was a nice view of the lake behind our spot and some decent walking trails. Also, you have to pay extra for the wifi service from a 3rd party service. I can't recommend this place and probably will not stay again.
Looks nice enough from pictures, but you’ll never know if your camper isn’t 2000 or younger. Been staying at campgrounds all over the country for the last 6 years and never been turned away based on the age of my rig. But “most campgrounds have a 10 year limit or newer” according to Southlake. Shame.
Don't stay here. This place is NOTHING like pictures on their website. We were very likely in the worst spot of the entire campground A1. The fire ring was full of trash. There was a retaining wall that was falling apart with metal sticking out of it... dangerous. Totally not worth the money we paid.
We had one of the nicer spots right on the lake. Unfortunately it’s stinks like sewage in that area and all the sites are tiny. Lots of permanent campers here, along with their usual junk and trash. Also know if you have an RV, there are bridges along the typical Google and Apple Maps routes to get here that you cannot get under, not even close.
This is a nice park on a small lake. Most of the sites near the water have nice porches with lattice sides. The pool is clean and water temp is perfect. There is a store with snack food and some rv goods. Showers are clean and there is a laundry room as well.
Over all this campground is not what it seems when you look at their website. They post photos of what are the seasonal camp spots which are spot that are maintained by the season camper. We stayed at a site behind the office/bathrooms. The site was not horrible however it was poorly maintained. There was a tree behind our site that has partially come down and is stuck in another tree posing a major safety concern. Looks to have been that way for a while too. The next major issue is there are NO picnic tables! So I had to go purchase a folding table to be able to eat outside. That is ridiculous. Never been to a campground where there was no tables. Next is the fire pit they claim some sites have them and they are correct but those are and look to be mostly long term seasonal sites. Many rental sites have nothing! We had to improvise an use our charcoal grill as a pit. Again camping and fires go hand in hand. Heck they could make a pit out of an 18 wheeler rim. There are 2 sections to the campground the front near the office which appears to be trailer park trash and not kept well. And the the area by the water which is much nicer. But appears to be the seasonal sites. Next is the bathrooms attached to the office they state they have been updated and renovated haha that's hilarious. Throwing paint on a wall and buying cheap movable wall dividers is not renovated. The toilet stall indoor/dividers are very old. All except 1 do not line up to latch so anyone could walk in on you. The male urinals do not have privacy dividers. The showers are ok however the make shift plumber they used cannot seem to read an installation guide. When you turn the knob to the H hot water should come out not cold. For a young child having the water polarity reverse could lead to scalding. The bathrooms did seem to be clean which is a plus. Then there is the wifi this is a joke. Every decent campground offers wifi that is free. 4 dollars a day or 6 for 2 days is ridiculous. They also were not prepared for the holiday weekend. The pool was not completely ready water was cloudy and the pool furniture wasn't setup so we had to unstack the chairs so we had a place to sit. After we left the pool someone came and setup the rest of the pool furniture. This campground was a disappointment. I will never come back to this place. And I recommend that y'all choose wisely before coming here. Funny thing is that a typical holiday weekend just about all campgrounds are booked yet this one has many open sites still.
Only there one night- pleasant service making reservation but site was on a steep angle. Also dumpster service just before 4 am woke you up- and took a while banging and beeping.
