I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the treatment I received from your hotel staff on my last day of stay. I had booked my reservation well in advance, before October 1, and my email confirmation clearly stated that check-out time was at 12pm. On the day of my departure, I had a conversation with a housekeeping staff member around 11am, during which I requested some additional items and informed her that we would be leaving that day. She acknowledged my request without any mention of an issue. However, shortly after, I received a call from the front desk claiming that we were late checking out and would be charged a late fee equivalent to the room rate. Naturally, I was taken aback by this sudden accusation, and I tried to explain to the front desk attendant that my email confirmation explicitly stated a check-out time of 12pm. Unfortunately, instead of resolving the matter professionally, she insisted that the check-out time was 11am and engaged in an argument with me. Frustrated, I requested to speak with a manager, but to my dismay, I was put on hold and subsequently hung up on twice. Eventually, security and management arrived at my room, where they were able to view the email confirmation that clearly indicated a check-out time of 12pm. Despite this evidence, their demeanor remained rude and unprofessional, and we were hurriedly forced to vacate the room, leaving some of our belongings behind. Later, I approached the management to discuss the issue further. However, instead of offering a sincere apology or attempting to rectify the situation, the manager became defensive and claimed that I had been informed of the 11am check-out time during check-in. I vehemently deny this assertion, as I relied solely on the information provided in my reservation email, which explicitly stated a check-out time of 12pm. The manager even went so far as to blame the issue on marketing, which only added to my disappointment. I must express my utmost dissatisfaction with the treatment I received from your staff. Their rudeness, lack of professionalism, and failure to acknowledge their mistake have left a lasting negative impression. As a result, I regret to inform you that I will never consider staying at your hotel again in the future. I hope that you take this feedback seriously and address the issues I have raised. It is my sincere hope that you will take appropriate measures to ensure that no other guest experiences such disrespectful treatment. I believe that by doing so, you can restore the reputation of your establishment and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future
Not my first time at the casino but my first time staying in the hotel and it was worth it. I enjoyed every moment I was there. The room was amazing and the staff was so nice and friendly and helpful. The food was delicious the music was great and the drinks was delicious. I can't wait to go back and do another weekend getaway. Southland Casino is a nice place to go to. Rooms: I love how my room was decorated Safety: Well lit. Have to be checked by security so that's a plus. You have to use your own key to gain entry to your floor your room Food & drinks: The food and drinks combined was good.
Clean rooms and casino. Always enjoy the all you can eat crab legs buffet. All of the staff members are exceptional and some of the friendliest people we've met in our travels! We enjoy coming for a day or weekend stay because it's going to be a great time! It's close to home, easy to access and is enjoyable every time. Safety: I saw parking lot patrols, security and you need to use your room key to access the elevators. Walkability: Easy walk through casino to my room, food and parking Food & drinks: They've got a variety of food, drinks and snacks for almost any time of day
We play mostly 3 card poker. They usually have 2 or more tables going. All with super friendly dealers. Many other table games are available. Lots of slot machines! There is a nice bourbon bar inside. The steakhouse looks upscale but is usually pretty packed on the weekends. Free fountain drinks but have to pay for beer and cocktails. Lots of waitresses to take drink orders. They are very nice and return drinks quickly. The main casino is all no smoking. You can smoke in the sports book restaurant. Only bad thing about my visits thus far is the one time I tried to eat at the sports book restaurant. No one would take my food order. I sat at the bar for a fairly long time but no one would take my order. Good news is there are several other food options to choose from. As they continue to grow, I’m sure they will add more. Hotel is brand new. Rooms are very nice and clean. I will definitely go back. You should check it out if you like to gamble or just have fun. DJ on weekends is really talented.
Hello checked in at 8:16am Friday October 13th 2023. Front desk service had no clue of how to check-in guests. Gave her my driver license room was paid in full in advance. The room key that she gave me to check-in was already occupied by another guest which had the hang tag on there door. So I had to go back down stairs and let them no that someone was already in there and I needed a different room. First time checking out the casino stayed for 3 days and the slots are very very very tight. They wasn't giving out any rewards within 3days won nothing.
The casino has a nice selection of slots, it’s roomy and clean. The hotel rooms look brand new, they are modern, clean and have everything u need. The restaurant that I ate at The Fry House was delicious. Safety: I felt save, I like that you can’t access the elevator to the hotel rooms unless u have a room key.
Had quite honestly the best gaming experience in over a decade. Whoever was the relief dealer Sept 6 around 11p was the greatest dealer I've ever met. She was amazing. I'm so sorry I didn't catch her name.Service: 5/5
I enjoyed it! The room was clean with a beautiful view. I felt safe. I liked that no one can enter floors or elevators without a key pass. The room came with a refrigerator and bottles of water. Lots of tv channels.Rooms: 5/5
Looked a bit dodgy from the outside. Decided to check in and had to show our ID to get past the security guard. Got to say it’s good to have good security but would be nice to go in and out a bit easier. Got checked in by lady who took us into her office. Good customer service to see they made an effort when they saw the checkin line getting longer. There is a parking garage at the back of the building which felt very secure. The room was absolutely wonderful. Probably the best room we stayed in on our trip. Wonderful view from our window. Ate in the Grill Room which was handy as it carried on serving later on during the evening.
We fid NOT go into the Casino. We did stay overnight in the semi parking lot. The lot is patrolled throughout the night. If you have a camper the security may give you better parking at the front of the casino. We were unable to go to the front, because we had a dog.
